Post Ranch Inn

Brendan at the post restaurant was amazing. He greeted us and the first thing he asked was, are you hungry? It was just after they had served breakfast and he was able to miraculously come up with a full breakfast meal. That was our first encounter when we got there and the rest of our visit was just as nice.

The property was nice (the natural setting is what it is - stunning and serene). The property was under renovations which removed access to the main restaurant and one of the ocean side pools. They offered a $250.00 credit which we were told at checkout applied only to food on the day of our arrival (that’s incredibly annoying at this price point, particularly given they didn’t explain this at check-in). The bed wasn’t my favorite (very firm which is just not my personal preference), but that’s the only negative about the room itself (nice setting, fireplace, etc) . We may try again when everything is open, but would ask a lot more questions to understand any promotions or costs.

Stayed in Trotter. It is a gorgeous cozy room 20 steps from the restaurant (convenient if it's raining). We love this place and come back again and again. It's a hotel to save up for to celebrate a special occasion. If the natural setting doesn't move you to tears, the staff's sweet familiarity will keep you coming back. Stay on the coast upper or lower, or one of the freestanding rooms directly in front of the restaurant. The newer rooms on the hill, although spacious and architecturally interesting, are not our preferred rooms.

post ranch inn is one of the most special places on planet earth. after visiting a few years back, we put our faith in the team there - led by derek, their wonderful expert planner, to help us with a redwoods ceremony and dinner for a few family. i can’t express how masterful post ranch inn was at every turn. it’s california western at its finest. no better place to marry the love of your life. incredible scenery, food, wine, architecture. and very relaxed for a bride, as they orchestrate all. we were lucky enough to have bluegrass music and their resident falconer at our ceremony, too. incredible.

It was our first time staying at Post Ranch Inn, and it was truly an amazing experience! The resort is stunning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful place. One highlight was that everything in the minibar was complimentary, which was a wonderful touch and made our stay even more enjoyable. The only reason I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars is that we couldn’t enjoy breakfast in the main restaurant due to renovations. At this premium price point, I believe they should have arranged an alternative breakfast option that offered an equally amazing experience. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we look forward to returning once the renovations are complete!
