As you make your way to Dreams Dominicus La Romana, a blanket of blue comes into focus as you approach this seaside sanctuary. This is paradise, Dominican Republic style, where families and couples can reacquaint and singles can mingle with like-minded guests. The collection of rooms and suites, with canopied beds draped in luxe fabrics and beverage refrigerators stocked with a stash of complimentary drinks, are capsules of luxury. But it is the resort's signature Unlimited-Luxury®, program, a concept where just about everything is included, that truly dazzles even the most seasoned resort aficionados. Food and beverages, activities and recreational equipment, entertainment and clubs for kids and teens are all included in your stay.

We had a fantastic time celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Beautiful clear calm water, excellent service, clean and beautiful accommodations. We loved the enclave lounge bar and our butler service from Luiding was such a wonderful luxury. He handled everything for us from kayak rentals to spa appointments. Highly recommend this resort!

We had the most amazing time at this resort. We stayed in an Enclave ocean front room which had a terrace leading onto the pool with the sea in the background. Each morning we simply wandered from the pool area to the beach front breakfast for breakfast, then settled in our sun loungers under the lovely shade. We could pop in and out of our room at leisure. The whole resort was spotless, very well designed with shade everywhere including walkways. The weather was beautiful and the open air restaurants were never too hot. The beach was beautiful and immaculately maintained, no seaweed and no need for shoes in the water as it is pure sand and aqua blue water. You can snorkel off the beach and it is all sectioned off between family and adult. The public beach area is next door, but there was security and so no wanderers coming into the resort so it was very private in that respect. The pool was also immaculate and regularly tracked for the right chemical balance. Staff speak enough English to get them and us by - and I had no problem with this as it is a Spanish speaking country (they were thrilled when we tried to speak Spanish). We never saw anything that was unclean or dirty in our entire trip! Although we travelled as adults, we had access to the entire family resort and were impressed with the facilities for children, including a waterpark, plenty of shade by the pools and a lovely kids shallow paddling pool. We enjoyed being able to dine across many restaurants, in fact we only ever went to one restaurant twice (excluding breakfast) because there was so much choice, meaning we never got bored. Our favourite restaurant was the Mediterranean restaurant, although questionable as to whether it was actually Mediterranean food (not a problem for us anyway). Teething troubles did not attract from how amazing our holiday was and we still highly recommend the resort. This is just for feedback to the resort - a poor check in where they put us at a dirty table in the bar. Enclave check in was far inferior to the main check in area and lacked capacity, thus we were put in a bar at 9pm. Towels were not fluffy - like cardboard. It turned out there was a turndown service but we were interrupted at past 9pm with a lady asking if we want towels. We both got sick, and I’ve been sick past going home with food poisoning. We were not careful eating raw food and I think next time we will not eat things like lettuce in the burgers. If you are going for high quality food this is perhaps not the place to go as although some dishes were great, a decent amount of the food was pretty bland. The staff were average service, not massively smiley and we got laughed at twice by employees… however on the final night management was there and the entire service changed overnight to the most smiley and attentive employees ever. It was a nice end for the holiday but a shame that they only changed their service when management arrived. As I said none of this distracted from our amazing holiday and we will be recommending it to everybody and going back!

A lot of the staff weren’t the friendliest. Most didn’t speak. English. They continuously tried to upsell and I felt like I was being harassed in the actual hotel area. There were however some servers that stood out! On the rocks is a bar and Ramon Zorrilla Carlos Castro were friendly and amazing! Always pouring beers before we ask! Always remembering our drinks. They were the best by far!

We went to Hilton La Romana for our honeymoon. It has been an amazing experience here calm and relaxing. All the staff have been amazing and very friendly. The highlight of the morning buffet has been Yaniris calling out for coffee, she has always been very bright and cheerful. The beach’s and pools have been amazingly looked after with staff always around offering drinks and to find/ move sun longer around. We will definitely be coming back here again!

We have spent 10 nights here for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is first class with superb gardens, rooms, food and the beach and pool areas are simply amazing! Special thanks to Carlos in Chinola who gave us a first class service on our evening there. The Pachamama cocktail is superb and well worth trying. Martyna the maid looked after us well. We stayed in Room 3327 with great views over the gardens, air conditioning was perfect, rainfall shower just wonderful and a comfy bed too. Priol and Rodolfo and all of the bellboys were great and as there are no lifts at the hotel, if you have a few cases of luggage, these guys certainly work hard! Lots of food choices and the bars and coffee shop add to the overall great experience at this hotel. I also love the way the bar staff are wearing caps and all the staff have a specific type of uniform depending on what their role is. We did notice the hotel can be extremely busy at times as both the family and adult sections can be accessed easily and when large groups arrive, it can cause issues with large tables at dinner and it’s noticeable in the pools too and on the beach but the staff cope very well To sum up, we would definitely return and maybe for longer, if the flights worked out right for us.
