Great ambience for the ocean view, amazing housekeeping, and attention to detail very clean. Not enough chairs for the pool so you have to get up early and mark your spot like a dog. Watch that the entertainment doesn’t change because they don’t always update the app and we waited for an event that was all of a sudden moved to Sunday. We didn’t have an idea of that. Visit Dunn River. They do have Uber but don’t tell you and there’s a great restaurant in town called houseboat Grill check it out

The property is nice, lovely, all the Christmas decorations beautiful. I've wanted to do a Christmas trip for a while, so having all the entertainment in one place was great. Customer service was good, the variety of restaurants was nice, the beach was nice but does look to be man-made. Also, the beach chairs are a 1st come 1st service, so we would have to get up early in the morning to save a beach chair. I can only imagine in the summer that this would be annoying. This was my 1st trip to Jamaica, I am glad I got to experience Montego Bay but I would not return. They advertised free bikes but they were hard to find, we did luck up on 2, late one night. It's also a small property. The commercial for Secrets Montego Bay & the reality didn't match.

The facility is quite old and not maintened very well. It doesn’t meet the expectations for an all inclusive luxury facility. Staff is helpful, entertainment was okay, and beaches are nice - that’s pretty much it. You have to wait in the line to get your name on the restaurants for dinner. The wait can be as extensive as 4 hours depending on how busy the hotel is. Most restaurants are not open until 6 pm and close at 10-11 pm, so you end up eating right before they close and might not be able to order everything you want. If you want to make reservations, you need to open up a bottle which is against the concept of an all inclusive. There is a heavy mold smell in some of the rooms; we had to change our room because of this. This smell is present in some corridors as you walk around the hotel. In general, it is not worth the money, and I would never go back.

We LOVED the resort last year, before Hyatt fully took over, but now we'll never go back. The cost has increased but the amenities and service have drastically diminished. It is extremely clear that the staff is unhappy with recent changes as customer service went from being the best I've ever experienced in an all inclusive to the absolute worst. We had theft in our room (easily trackable AirPods) and it took us escalating to 5 different managers to get any attention on the matter. Food used to be abundant and delicious, especially the dinner buffets which no longer exist, but now you're lucky to get a small microwaved portion for dinner at the restaurants. There is also zero need to pay more for the Preferred Club - every single area that is said to be "exclusive" is available to absolutely everyone and during peak times you'll have to fight for a lounge chair on the beach/at the pool even if you're a Preferred Club guest on the Preferred Club beach. Overall, there is just a lot more neglect - the spa pools don't work, chef station employees don't want to cook, theft in the room - it's too bad Hyatt took over. It used to be a great resort. The best part about our stay was the beach attendant Richard who went out of his way to make sure we had a seat at the beach every day and was extremely pleasant.

All around great experience for our family of 6. We had Andre and Davion as our Butler’s for the Butlers and their services really took our experience to the next level. They were always around, and provided us with cell phones to contact them. They took care of everything for us. Awesome team with awesome service.
