Very nice place. Food options are great. Location is great not far from the airport. Very nice beach and pools. Staff are great. They have updated the restaurant. Only thing is the rooms are dated and towels are old. AC needs to work better. 2nd time at this place. Same thing happened. We left a note in English and Spanish to leave extra towels and water in room. Never did it. The bell man also called down to tell them and they never came. The sad part is that we left them a tip with the note. They took it and never added towels or water. Other then that not a bad place for a weekend getaway.

It was our first time at this resort. We have been to several other resorts in Nuevo Vallarta in the past but the Wyndham Alltra stands out because of the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The service given by Raul, Mayali, Daniela, Augustin and Rene was outstanding. They are very endearing people. We were kindly welcomed in French by Angelica at the buffet’s entrance. Esmeralda at the dinner reservation was also very accommodating and nice. Before our departure Mayali and Daniela surprised us with a dessert wishing us a nice return trip, photo enclosed. There is a lot of variety in the food at the buffet; salads, rice, fish, meat, tortillas, tacos, salsa, fruits, desserts etc. There was always something to please you. À la carte restaurants lack a choice of meals and the portions are a little small but this certainly prevents waste of food. If you want a second portion, they will gladly give you one. It would be nice if there were steaks on the menu. The wine is very good; they even give you a choice between red wines. There are more Mexicans staying at this resort than elsewhere, probably because the other buildings are condominiums. The resort is quiet and you feel more in Mexico here than at other resorts where we have been in the past. The room was spacious and the bed is comfortable; it included a Jacuzzi on the balcony and a soaking bath near the shower. There is a safe in the room as well as a small fridge that is filled each day with water, beer and soft drinks. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from the fifth floor. There are 3 huge pools, the first one near the entrance is heated and there is a huge spa just beside it. The second pool is also heated but to a lesser degree. However the infinity pool closer to the beach is very cold. It’s too bad because it would be nice being able to swim in that pool while looking at the ocean. Of course heating those pools must be expensive. There are many unoccupied lounge chairs around all the pools. They are very good quality steel chairs and look clean in comparison to the ones at the beach. Our only complaint would be the chairs at the beach. They are very dirty and would need to be thoroughly cleaned. We will certainly return to this resort if we can get a good package deal through our travel agent.

This Resort is pretty nice but the food was not good. We have stayed her several times and it has gone down hill. The buffet food is very limited snd was not good. The other restaurants have limited menus. The food was a lot better in those but selection wasn’t great. The rooms are nice but my AC didn’t work

This hotel is very basic. Nice staff pooly trained. Basic food. Not real meat or fish dishes not in a sauce. Rooms were ok but very dated and stained bathtubs and faucet etc. VIP is a waste of time and money. Poor food quality and poor bar options. You do get a higher floor. Restaurant booking is a mess. Sushi closed due to hurricane but that doesn't mean you could serve it elsewhere! Hit and miss on what restaurants open when! Poor quality of drinks. Lunch options really poor, buffet or goupey ceviche, i think. No deserts at lunch. No ice cream. It costs extra. Steak and fish cost extra. Entertainment poor and at weird times. Pools are lovely but overly aggressive security and one lifeguard to patrol 3 large pools. Easy beach access . Infinity pool was freezing and no one in it. Avoid this hotel if possible. There are cheaper and better options.

The resort is beautiful and the pools/ beach access is lovely. The food and drinks are okay, the food is bland to try to avoid offending people's palates, and the drinks are watered down. Great value and overall the resort exceeds standards especially when considering the rate.
