Wyndham Alltra Riviera Nayarit

There were three couples in our party. One room was below par, safe did not work, A/C was intermittent, and patio door was really hard to open. The buffet food was good not exceptional, but no complaints. We always found chairs either on the beach or by the pool, and we never left to look for them until around 9:30 am. No shortage of alcohol at all. Beach walks were wonderful. Saw whales, dolphins, manta rays, Mexican raccoons etc.

The rooms are fantastic. Beds are perfect pillows are plump and firm. Open the patio door and hear the waves crash. It has a tub for her and a shower for him. Restaurants were acceptable but not fantastic. Pool and Beach are overwhelmed with 70 plus year olds that bought timeshares and there will not be a pool chair or beach chair available after 7:30 a.m. so get up early to stake your spot

During our 14 day stay, one evening the resort did not have water for the guest rooms for approximately 4-5 hours. We did not experience the issue with hot water in our room that others were having. We often had to call down to the desk to request towels, as none had been left by the maid service. Staff were quick to come with them after being asked. If your wanting a resort where you can take snacks to the beach or pool area, you can not do this at this resort. Also this resort does not have the Mexican standard snack of guacamole, salsa, chips. Their guacamole is a blended sauce, and the only time we seen salsa was Mexican night at the buffet. Often we would see new travellers arriving searching for this snack only to be disappointed. I believe this has been reported from other previous travellers as well. Looking out to the beach, the lefthand side of the pools does not get sun for most of the day. If you want a lounger in the sun, you will have to get up early to put a towel on a chair, even though their are signs saying not to do this. The travellers who are in the timeshare condos seem to take up a large portion of those chairs. Like all travel, temper your expectations to what you have purchased. You can either choose to let issues ruin a vacation, or choose to go with the flow.

Gorgeous location! Resort layout is lovely , food was amazing! Yoga classes with guest instructor from Fitness vacation exchange were very professional! Ezekiel and Teresa with the entertainment team bring lots of energy to all programming .

We had an amazing 16 night stay at this resort. The beach is beautiful, the food is very good, the drinks are cold and plentiful, and the staff is outstanding! Our room was on the top floor and we had access to the club lounge which we really only used for breakfast and it suited our needs very well. Our room was cleaned well each day and was spacious with lots of storage. The food was really good. We mainly ate at the ala Cartes and they all had some must try delicious dishes such as: Lasagne and carpaccio limone shrimp fettuccine at the Italian. Tomato soup and shrimp,at the Mediterranean ( with the amazing server, Martin!). Oaxaca cheese and tortilla soup at the Mexican, and shrimp bisque, fish, and chicken at the grill. The resort is very clean and staff are always working and cleaning something. The staff at this resort is amazing. They treated us so well! I can’t remember everyone’s name we encountered but here are some of the best of the best! Beach servers - Jorge, Gerardo, Erik, Alejandra, Manuel, Fernando - Thanks for all the cold beers! Buffet - Elizabeth, Mayeli, and Arturo (also at club lounge and coffee shop!) Great to see your smiling faces again! Restaurant servers - Martin, Saul, Raul, and Karen (manager) Bartenders - Antonio Rosales Rosas, Antonio, Edgar, Manuel - Thanks for the amazing margaritas! Bellmen - Erick and Angel - always helpful Club lounge - Caesar was always so attentive! Esmeralda - concierge - amazing at her job and so pleasant! We hope to return for our 5th time next January!
