Last year we went to Miraval Austin over Christmas so this year we thought we would try out Miraval Arizona. Overall, it was a great trip. Transportation was prearranged through the resort and went off without a hitch. The grounds are so well done - with the "river" feature running through the property, the soothing sound of rushing water creates a very zen feel. The rooms, while nothing fancy, featured comfy beds and robes. The classes were all solid and there was a varied enough offering that the three of us could each customize our day. Our favorite instructor was Dan who brought abundant positive energy to each class. We loved his afternoon stretch, cardio drumming, and cardio/strength classes. Other amazing classes included the painting class, the gratitude labyrinth and a pickle ball class. We also really liked the lunch and learn classes they offered and we took advantage of a nutrition class and a sleep practices class. These classes are an opportunity to have a really casual small group conversation with a subject matter expert about whatever is on your mind. The food offerings were also solid and provided guests a ton of food options throughout the day. We had booked almost all of our classes months in advance on the online portal which was quick and easy. Changing classes once we got there was also pretty easy although a bunch of classes were no longer available by that time (to be expected). The spa services were all well done - although the "quiet room" is not as quiet as other spas because it is right outside of the main spa lobby so all the lobby conversations bleed into the quiet room a bit. Comparing this property to their Austin property, this property wins for overall beauty with the majestic mountains in the background and incredible desert landscape. It feels more like a resort property than the Austin property. We also enjoyed the Coyote Lounge, a large bar area that they had at the Arizona property. The Austin property, while less visually dramatic, seemed to offer more energetic instructors and also a superior yoga facility and yoga teachers. Both resorts offer a solid spa retreat experience though and we would love to return to both of them.

This place is special and fantastic, get ready to disconnect and "be a human". Lots of activities, healthy food, and fantastic customer service - highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone and doing things you have never done before or that you cannot experience in your hometown. I can't wait to go back!!

In my opinion,I can see the resort being true gem 20 years ago,but now is overrated and dated with mediocre food. It is secluded location and it may work for certain people but Im not one of them. Some of the paid activities, like the 200 $ hanging and climbing ,little too much.

It was beautiful, relaxing experience that created a lifetime memory for us. From The friendliness of the staff, the service level, the food, the activities and programs offered and the aesthetic beauty of the resort and surrounding area made this an incredible trip. It’s something that we will definitely do again.

Magical experience - I didn't want to leave! The villa was outstanding- extremely spacious with gorgeous views. Very fresh and flavorful meals, relaxing spa area and the treatments were terrific. The yoga and meditation instructors offered a variety of practices and we enjoyed them all. It was such a special week!

Miraval is just wonderful!! It is truly a relaxing getaway that offers so much for everyone. You can push yourself to the limit with the ropes/challenge experience; yoga, pilates and other tough exercise classes; the equine experience; or just enjoy the spa with the most wonderful treatments. Loved every minute of it. The setting is serene, the staff couldn't be more helpful, and the spa treatments are truly beyond!!! Can't wait to go back!
