SHA Wellness Clinic

Visiting SHA was a gift to myself after a stressful period and suffering the aftermath of a food poisoning. For someone like me who usually do not spend this much on a holiday it was sheer luxury! Everything is done to perfection. The room is gorgeous (mountain view!), the food divine, the premises flawless and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. They have an amazing range of the latest in treatments of which some are included in the programme you sign up for, but the extras are quite expensive. I loved having constant access to the spa area with saunas and pools as well as the outdoor pool, which was lovely to have even in October. Loads of positives. The negative would be that extra costs can sneak in without you quite understanding, but to be fair they removed when I queried. It can feel like hard selling the first day with all the consultations but nothing is forced upon you, just suggested. Very tempting to go for it though! I didn't, but lucky the ones that can. I came back seriously relaxed and happy. Very easy to go solo. Many do, and lots of tables during mealtimes are set for one.

Food is excellently prepared and rooms are 5*. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Clinic was very quiet which during my stay was a real plus. Gym is small for size of complex and if busy would not be enjoyable. Also spa was free at any time of day. Experience of both gym and spa might be very different when clinic busier. The clinic is very expensive and there is upselling at every turn. The treatments on offer are 3 or 4 times market price. As you are keen to achieve your goals you can easily be drawn into these. Overall I achieved my goals of weight loss but at a significant financial cost. If you have the resources then yes good place to give you a kick start or long term habits

The Sha is a perfect blend of 5 star hotel and medical clinic. A great place to educate yourself on nutrition and how to lead a healthy lifestyle. Brilliant professional staff, excellent programmes and treatments. The food is seriously delicious and even on the Kusie diet you never feel hungry. perfect place to unwind and reset
