Wake to a beautiful day on your first morning, and enjoy a fabulous breakfast at Contraste Restaurant or at iQ smart fresh food, with a menu carefully designed by a nutritionist. Venture out for the day to discover this amazing city, and start with a stroll down the famed La Rambla. Enjoy fantastic and eclectic shopping, vibrant street performances, and delightful cafés where you can sit, relax and people watch. Make your way to La Sagrada Familia, a magnificent temple designed by Anton Gaudi and begun in 1881, where you can marvel at its massive structure, which is still being constructed today. Continue on to Gaudi's psychedelic Park Guell, on a hill overlooking the city, and enjoy a pleasantly strange afternoon amongst serpentine benches, brilliant tile mosaics, giant decorative lizards, and gingerbread-styled houses. In the afternoon stop in at a lovely café for a true taste of Barcelona and enjoy fabulous fresh seafood and pintxos, the delightful tapas-styled local snacks. Take the rest of the afternoon to relax with a sail along the Mediterranean coast, or be moved by an astounding performance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu or L'Auditori. That night, return to the hotel for a well-deserved massage at AQUA Diagonal Spa, then enjoy a fun-filled dinner in the hotel's very own German Biergarten. At Hotel Sofia, every day is truly this magical.

the only reason you shold go to this hotel is because you are there on business and you will be out all day, only come to sleep, because rooms are very nice, its new - but then again i havent seen a hotel in Spain that is not renovated. I also never seen a hotel with 5 stars that you have to pay extra for SPA, i never seen a hotel with three stars acctually ... soo, the location is just sooooo far from everything, you have nothing to do there,. you can not even go to the spa... ofcourse for 500€/night you dont get breakfast,.. when you need something nobody is answering the phone so everytime you need to go down, also TV was not working they came to repar it right away but it only worked for an hour.. There is one thing in hotel that is veeeeery good and will go back - its the restaurant La Lena, went there twice and everything was great, from staff to food,.. also have to say that staff in hotel is very nice!

If you want to watch our full video review, find us on YouTube @travelwithpassionandstyle Our recent visit to the Grand Hyatt Barcelona started with a few unexpected twists. We had booked the Studio suite and got upgraded to Grand Suite, but upon arrival… surprise! We found ourselves in a different room. Not the smoothest start, but this mix-up gave us the chance to briefly review the Studio Suite as well. The following day, the staff resolved the issue, and we were finally able to enjoy the Grand Suite. The layout is similar to the Studio Suite, but the most remarkable difference is the walk-in closet that became the highlight of our stay. Breakfast was another mixed experience, good options, but be prepared for long queues if you arrive at the wrong time. The SPA? Spacious, well-organized areas but temperatures that weren’t always as relaxing as we’d hoped. We also visited the Grand Club, which had a lot of promise but fell short when it came to food selection. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, with memorable moments but a few mishaps along the way. We’ve shared all the details (and some fun anecdotes) in the full video on our channel @travelwithpassionandstyle on YouTube.

Beautiful and chic hotel with the best buffet breakfast I ever had. The rooms and so delicately decorated with chic style, cozy and so comfortable. The staff are so kind, friendly and very professionals. Well located next to many transportations. The Grand suite is amazing big and comfortable. I truly recommend Grand Hyatt Barcelona.

Watch out for the elevators!! We have been there with our company and multiple people have been stuck in the elevators, many times. Inwas forced to walk stairs up and down to the 9th floor. One group even got stuck in the elevator for 1h10!!! In a Hyatt - but also other hotels - absolutely not acceptable !!!

Absolutey lovely hotel, fantastic service right from check-in, to service, breakfast, doormen, everyone was helpful, friendly and HAPPY! We had an issue with our TV, it was promptly resolved. The manager spoke to us personally at check-out also, which was lovely. It was my birthday and I came back to a wonderful note and a dessert from the staff. Throughly enjoyed the gesture, it's what we expect of a Grand Hyatt! We enjoyed being a bit outside the tourist core, and appreciated the tram and metro links nearby. Proximity to El Cortes Ingles was super for shopping. An amazing thing was our window had a direct view of the Barcelona fireworks on Dec 31 2024 happening at Playa Espana, and that was just fab.
