First time at this Boston hotel - a brief one night visit for a wedding. The staff could not have been nicer - I called a couple of times with questions and each time the phone was answered promptly and politely. We brought our dog who was treated like royalty. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean and comfortable and quiet. The location cannot be beat. Most importantly, felt welcome which is not always the case in city hotels.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were actually sad to leave such a great place for exploring Boston. Staff are very welcoming, approachable & helpful. Free tea, coffee & water supplies are a much appreciated touch Rooms were beautifully furnished. Highly recommend this Boston hotel. Thank you

The Lenox in Boston is a remarkable hotel. It has classic old world elegance but is comfortable and welcoming. For us, being able to have a true wood fire on a cool afternoon or evening brings the Lenox to the top of hotels in town. We have been staying close to year round and find that though seasons change, the best of the Lenox, the people, don't. Yes we've met some new faces, but most of the heritage team remains (a testament to the management). This weekend we walked by a hotel that is expected to be one of the best in town (its name has changed, they even changed the location of the front door) but our one stay was disappointing; they had nothing to compare to the Lenox. One other factor for the Lenox, their location is wonderful. Newbury St is one block down, across the street, and down on Newbury are some incredible restaurants. We look forward to our next trip.

My company gathered at the Lenox for a 3 day offsite; I was tasked with working with the Lenox to make arrangements with rooms, food, etc. From beginning to end, the Lenox was very patient, accommodating, and helpful in the planning process. Joanna and Lorna were particularly helpful in making sure we had a seamless work trip. The hotel itself is beautiful and located in the heart of Boston, making it easy to explore the city. While I personally enjoyed my room (Deluxe Room), I was given mixed reviews on the Classic Rooms from my colleagues. We ate at the City Table restaurant one night, then had catering for the remaining meals. Everyone raved about the food! Not only was it delicious, but there was enough to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. I'd recommend the Lenox for anyone looking to host a company retreat in Boston!

I can't say that the hotel is bad, it's good, clean, with good service, nice location, however we didn't like it much. The lobby is beautiful, but dark, breakfasts are good, but they are served a la carte and the restaurant can be overcrowded and you have to wait to be seated and then wait quite long for your food. Not much choice for kids. Rooms are spacious, but the furniture is a bit old, looks like it requires renovation. I'd say that there is a nice atmosphere in the hotel, however I wouldn't return.
