Reservations line incompetent, manager was unable to have all my guests stay at the hotel even though I booked a year in advance. Many of my guests had to stay at other hotels in the area or sleep on a roll out cot because double beds were not offered. I spent about 3 months going back and forth dealing with just getting hotel rooms for my guests that I did not have time to properly plan my event. Then, I paid thousands of dollars to have an event there just to have the power get shut off twice and instead of the venue trying to make up for it, they just blamed the vendors that I hired to host my event. I had multiple unanswered emails and calls which resulted in last minute rushing details with my event (the hotel also blamed my vendors for the last-minute changes) even though we requested a walk through 1 week prior which was denied because the ballroom was not available. I also had a maid walk in on us while we were sleeping and halfway dressed the next morning. The stella is a beautiful hotel and somewhere I thought I would enjoy hosting my event, but once you sign a contract with them the General Manager and Manager have proved I should have spent my money elsewhere. This was the most stressful, unorganized hotel I have ever stayed and planned an event at. Do not plan on going back or recommending to anyone.

Disappointed repeat lifetime loyal platinum Bonvoy Marriott Guests. Room issues include loose unsafe shower handle, wobbly fixed shower panel. Difficulty opening & closing room entrance door. Window covered in dirty white film blocking view. TV not smart no apps. Damaged old bed sheets. Dirty dusty room phone. Drab room decor. Helpful friendly front desk with easy registration. Curt unhelpful restaurant dinner hostess and limited overpriced dinner menue prices. Tasty breakfast. Helpful valet service for parking.

This fully lives up to expectation for Autograph Collection. It is a beautiful and unique hotel, more like a boutique hotel. HUGE room, extremely well appointed and very comfortable. And it is situated in a beautiful area on the spectacular Texas A&M campus.

Hotel is 1st class and we stayed in a Lake View Suite. Lake is more like a big pond, but has a nice park around the lake and very per friendly area. POV coffee shop right next door. Very contemporary hotel and looks new. Cons would be the room we had had high ceilings so moving the curtains did not work very well. Bar food was $22 for a hamburger and $30 for 2 crab cakes. Food was ok, but not worth the money.

The air conditioner in all of the rooms is loud, 45 decibels in my room. I was told all of the rooms are equally loud. If watching television, one must actively adjust the volume. I changed rooms as the shower hardware was broken. The girl at the desk said it was because of the English, which I found odd. The rooms were clean but getting tatty. College station has terrible water. The hotel provides bottled water, $6. Free parking. This is a 2+ star hotel. It is very expensive for what you get.
