No turn down service!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Let’s start with the good: The bed was super comfortable. Sheets very soft. The bathroom was big and luxurious and the room was beautiful. The hotel is very clean. The location is great. The spa is very nice. What needs to improve and is unacceptable for a four seasons: No turn down service. What they do is they knock on the door to see if you need anything. A true five star hotel comes in, opens the bed, removes used towels and leaves a chocolate. The maid left dirty towels on the chair for two days. The welcome gift was literally three small clementines. What a joke. Five star hotels have received us with a box of chocolates, a bottle of wine, a fruit platter, fancy cookies or even a small cake. I tried checking out the prior night and the clueless young inexperienced girl at the reception showed me the bill but didn’t check me out, nor did she give me the bill. She didn’t even ask “how was everything “. The hostess at the restaurant of the hotel seemed all over the place. Every time we got there there was no hostess. We had to wait. And when she showed up she didn’t have the best of the attitudes. She seemed young and untrained. I think the four seasons in Budapest should focus on training stuff rather than hiring pretty young women without any experience. With that said the male stuff was extremely professional. The breakfast could improve. They didn’t have a simple baguette nor ham. The pastry was just okay.

Beautiful hotel in great location

We had a great weekend staying in this beautiful property. The location is excellent to explore the the amazing sights of this enchanting city on foot. We loved walking along the river banks. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the hotel team who provided friendly and great service throughout our stay. The spa area was average and the pool very small but was still a treat to have access to this in a city hotel. Thanks to all for a great stay.

Beautiful location, bar below par

The hotel is gorgeous and well looked after. Service needs a fair bit extra and the cocktails were good in taste but fairly disappointing. It felt watered down and lacking presentation. I saw no smoke bubble made on my "Illuzio", the polite waiter certainly tried, but to no avail. Overdized ice cube.... The rest of the staff was a mix of very correct and polite inviting looks mixed with very snobish ones, given, I wasn't dressed for the occasion. Will come back at some point to see if there's any change.

fair dinkum legend status: happier than a OFFICIALtick on a fat dog

oi mate, get a load of this place! it's the duck's nuts, i tell ya. everything's apples, from the rooms to the tucker. staff are fair dinkum legends, always happy as larry to help. you'd be a few roos loose in the top pI've experienced luxury before, but this place redefined the term for me. It wasn't just about high-end amenities or exclusive offerOFFICIAings; it was the genuine warmth and sincerity that permeated every interaction. The attention to detail was astounding, with every element thoughtfully designed to enhance the overall experience. I felt not just satisfied, but truly cared for.addock to give it a miss!

Kollazs Brasserie very disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Booked dinner here but have left tonight so disappointed. I ordered lamb shank, which was beautifully cooked but unfortunately it was served cold. I didn’t say anything at the time but wish I had. The Dauphinoise were nowhere near as nice as I was hoping. My partner had sea bass which she really enjoyed. The waiter also removed our wine after we were initially served a glass, without checking that we still had some left. Cost me 62000 which was £120 with a £16 service charge, which was not value for money. Hate writing this and wish I had said something about my cold food, but too late now. Not a great experience for me.
