Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa

We are members with a top floor, closest to the ocean two bedroom penthouse. For six years we have complained about the elevators. My mother is in her eighties, on oxygen with limited mobility. Last year two of the three elevators were completely down the entire week. The third elevator was down every afternoon all week. This year we called before we left and were told that ALL of the elevators had been replaced. When we arrived and tried to go to our room the main elevator that we use has not been replaced and is down and waiting for parts to be fixed. The "manager" told us the only option available was to downgrade to a run of the house two bedroom. When we asked about other compensation for our inconvenience, ie all inclusive plan/food voucher the answer was NO. They only thing they would do is switch rooms. I feel that this is extremely unprofessional customer service. I would not recommend this hotel/property.

My sister and I went for our first visit to this resort, as members of its associated vacation club. The location is excellent and beach is swimmable, although the water and air temps were chillier than average for the time of year we stayed. We've visited other Villa Group properties, and by far, the del Arco restaurants' food is far superior to that offered by the restaurants on the other properties at which we've stayed. In particular, we enjoyed the Neptune seafood restaurant, and Jimmy's attentive service, the South American Grill with Nayeli's sunny demeanor making that meal one we will remember, and Diego at El Patron also making sure we were well taken care of. I had the privilege of meeting the property's general manager as well as Efrain Romero, who is the guest services manager and who replies to many of the reviews here. General Manager Señor Perez embodies the very definition of hospitality, and it's clear the rest of the staff are doing a wonderful job of benefiting from both his and Efrain's examples. Both men gave us confidence that as guests, our feedback was heard and that our particular needs on site would be seen to. Indeed, my interaction with the two of them became a surprising highlight of this trip. We are booked for a return stay, and look forward to it very much.

Very good massage/spa experience. The staff, Alma, Fredy, Ernesto, Daniela and Estrella all went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had a great experience. I would highly recommend a visit to the spa while you are staying at the resort.

Beautiful and clean resort. We are here for 2 weeks. The food and staff are amazing. Accommodations are comfortable. Carmen at Patron Restaurant and Bucanero Restaurant was courteous and always had a smile. We looked forward to seeing her everyday. Ranteri was amazing to watch everyday at lunch. He never slowed down and always greeted you with a smile and hello. Employees like this is what keeps customers happy and coming back.
