La Playa Carmel

Excellent customer service. Location: 1 block from the beach and just a few blocks from downtown Carmel. Park your car and forget about it. The hotel is beautiful, great old fashioned touches in the decor, smells fabulous with Le Labo products everywhere, ( I would add le labo candles in the lobby area) like the late Gramercy Hotel in NY did. Delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, amazing views and manicured gardens. Bar had a very cool jazz band, a library to play games or watch a game. Fireplaces everywhere! Loved our weekend there and can't wait to come back in the Summer to enjoy the pool.

Beautiful hotel and top notch service. The room was charming and we had a beautiful ocean view. The bar was very sophisticated and it felt like you walked into a past era. The champagne breakfast was fantastic. Very close walk to the beach and to shopping in Carmel By The Sea. We will definitely stay here again.

Our friends had their wedding reception and celebration here and it was truly lovely. The hotel is beautiful and so tastefully decorated, and the outdoor wedding setup was beautifully done. My favorite part was the cocktail hour after the wedding which was on the heated porch outside. The hors d’œuvres were quite tasty and we had beautiful sunset views. It was surprisingly cold but the heaters helped out. The actual dinner was very good too. The food was served buffet style and was pretty solid. The dance floor was on the smaller side but still had a blast dancing. The photo booth was a nice touch too!

We investigated carefully and chose La Playa for our trip to Carmel. It was the perfect choice! Staying at La Playa was the magical ingredient to make our time in Carmel truly luxurious. Everything about La Playa is pure perfection. The staff is kind and cheerful, the food is wonderful, the amenities are plentiful, the rooms are cozy and beautiful, the public spaces are gorgeous. I don't think we would have enjoyed the trip if we had stayed anywhere else.

Great place to say. The rooms are well appointed. Lots of amenities, like wine in the afternoon, cookies in the evening, a wonderful champagne breakfast. The lobby area is cosy with nice seats in front of a fire. There are tables set all around the property to have a drink or just soak in the sun.
