Chs Place
Charleston Place remains at the pinnacle of the hotel industry in Charleston. The new ownership thankfully has continued to uphold the standard of service that existed since day one. The cost effectiveness of a standard room is approaching it's maximum, but as long as the service continues to impress, it remains worth the splurge.

Great stay and experience as always! Service and accommodations were wonderful. Made my stay in Charleston even more enjoyable. I consider it the best hotel in town among many great hotels. Will definitely be my hotel pick when in town - business or pleasure.

Best staff in the hotel industry
The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was incredible. No request was too much trouble. Every time we approached the Front desk, Bell stand or concierge desk we were remembered and greeted with a friendly smile and an attitude that made us feel that every request would be handled.

Wonderful time
Wonderful stay, Roosevelt was very helpful getting us checked in and out. Overall, staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Was a bit disappointed pool was under construction. Rooms very clean and beautiful. Ordered breakfast each day it was so yummy.

Roosevelt and Diane make an amazing team. They are so kind and attentive. I don’t want to stay anywhere else in Charleston than The Charleston Place. I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
