2nd visit in 7 years
I love this hotel for the sheer views from the room and restaurant locations. It is my oasis in Dar Es Salaam. I love the Karembuzi hotel. One suggestion is to provide the bacon cooked to a crisp end, it was a bit too fresh. Perhaps an upgrade is in order else no complaints from me.

Sea Cliff Hotel in Tanzania gets a Thumbs Up
The Sea Cliff Hotel is a great place to stay in Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. They were very accommodating and allowed a late check out. They had staff always available to help with requests. The restaurants were great. Looking out the rooms with an ocean view was very relaxing. The beds were comfortable as well.

Worth the price and effort to get there
A bit of a drive from town and a bit pricey but beautifully situated on cliff above the Indian Ocean — worth the extra effort and cost. About 0.5-1.0 hours from airport depending on traffic. People, food, accommodation all excellent. Can recommend without worry.

Arrival and departure service
Check in and check out service is painfully slow. Reception staff are not very friendly nor helpful. It takes approximately 15 minutes just to check out. Deluxe rooms are not very deluxe and super basic for a rate of $170 pppn. Showers rarely have good water pressure and the water temperature never gets even close to hot.

Diamond on the Indian Ocean
I just returned from a trip to Tanzania and a very enjoyable stay at the Sea Cliff Hotel in Dar. As I have said before, it's my favorite hotel and this stay didn't disappoint. The rooms are great as are both restaurants. The employees are the heart of the hotel and this time I would like to commend Ms. Asha who supervises the housekeepers on the first floor. They do a great job. After 15 years I continue to be impressed by this hotel.
