Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa

It was the second consecutive year that I spent my vacation at the Diani Reef resort. This vacation was completely different from the first because I met Abraham Wacira there, he is part of the entertainment team. This guy has a rare sense of humor, pure authenticity and a kindness that is hard to find in this world that is increasingly cold and distant. Bravo Diani Reef for hiring such a competent man in your team!!! I can't wait to come back in December and meet him again to make me laugh and look at life in a vivid perspective🤩🤩 Diani Reef remains the place where I can't wait to spend my next vacation❤️

We felt very safe here. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day. Here we met Abraham Wacira, the best animator in the hotel! We would like to meet him when we come back because he knows how to communicate with guests, he showed us the local nightlife, for which we are very grateful. Thanks to him it was a special time! When we come back in December with a larger group of friends Abraham must be there, please Karolina :)

The rooms were very mouldy and the property is not well maintained.Also the services were very slow.We also noticed people of a certain decent were being serviced faster than people that appeared to be locals or a race similar to the locals.

Positives - The rooms were clean; the food was good and the pool services were great. Negatives - Reception services are slow and appear disorganised. It looked like the Reception staff are either not adequately trained or empowered to make customer service decisions.. and there exist a multi-layered back and fro approach to simple solutions. Secondly, the staff responses at the reception were not truthful, and a red flag and an indication of a negative lying culture at the resort. Lastly, there were a few staff with dirty fingernails on 3 separate days, which is a total put-off in the hospitality industry. The Masai themed uniform, is not appealing, especially when torn... and also not for the ladies as it makes them look shaggy and unkempt. The Spa was not working, despite the hotel marketing themselves as a SPA. (Should drop the name.) Service was okay, but varied from staff to staff. Many staff had tendencies to disappear rather than respond to a request, thus leaving the guests baffled with the attitude, and not knowing who will attend to them next.

The worst place ever. Extremely slow service, I couldnt believe the nonchalance with which they operate. They don't even apologize for their tardiness nor do they feel the need to hurry up. It's the worst experience, I wouldn't recommend at all. Such a disappointment. Wow.
