Upgraded to club lounge, only to find that we couldn’t order any alcohol till 4.30, came back at 10pm only to find the same. Went to the bar and last orders were given, then discovered we only had 10 minutes to finish drinks. Husband was basically escorted out of the bar with drink in hand and a security man outside. This is definitely not a luxury stay, we have felt so harassed throughout. If you think we’re in our 30s you’re wrong we are in our 60s and have travelled to better behaved hotels than this. You have made this night really unbearable.

The hotel is pretty good, the interior is a bit dated, clearly a lot of maintenance has gone in, but it does need refreshing in time. In general the service was pretty good, but one guy at the reception was extremely rude. We drove a tesla and wanted to use the destination charger at the hotel to charge overnight, he was very rude and said no as another car was parked there(non electric), which shoudn't have been parked there in the first place! But another gentlemen(younger) walked out with us and helped us to sort it out. The cleaning staff were very polite. Hotel was clean. We had the front facing rooms, if you have the windows open at night it is very noisy due to the drunken idiots, the view onto the main street and plaza is good for the city view.(we were on level 6)

We stayed for one night, and had a great time. We opted for the room upgrade with the club access, which turned out to be a great option after the rudgy at Murryfield. All the staff were very pleasant and always keen to help. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but breakfast was everything you would expect. Ideal location for the rugby and a bit of shopping.

At the bar restaurant. 2 hrs to get our food; when it came it was cold, pastry barely cooked in steak pies, gravy like water, veggie burger well over/cooked. Absolutely disgusted- won’t be back. Chippie on the way home. Won’t be back. The bar and waiting staff were really good, food awful.
