Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof

We stayed at the Steigenberger Hof in Frankfurt for three nights in December, and it was simply one of our best hotel experiences. Reaching the hotel from the central train station was an easy taxi ride (although I know that the driver took a few extra turns to pad the fare). Then, from our arrival to our departure, service was careful and attentive. We were fortunate to be upgraded to an executive suite which was located in an upper corner of the building with a view toward the Romerberg. There was an issue when we arrived, as the door to the adjoining room was unlocked, but staff were quick to arrive to lock the doors. Room amenities were excellent, including a neat little tablet that we could use to order food or contact the staff. There was lots of space to store our luggage. The bathroom was large and featured a step-in tub with a shower attachment. At night the room was quiet, with little to no street noise. The included breakfast was served on the ground floor and featured an expansive continental style spread, including many hot plate options. It did get somewhat busy during breakfast, but the food was good. One evening we had dinner at the restaurant (Oscar’s). Service was attentive, and the food was excellent. The surrounding area was bustling and safe, with many stores and restaurants. We had no issues with walking around at night, although one must always be aware of their surroundings. The facilities overall were clean and neat, a definite throwback to an earlier period of luxurious decor. I had only a few quibbles: the elevators were somewhat slow. However, one evening when I had just missed an elevator, a concierge saw me and opened up another elevator, just for me! Second, the main entrance on Bethmannstrasse required taking a few steps up into the hotel, although there are other available entrances. Overall, these were very minor issues. We very much enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the hotel. We hope to visit again.

Good day, I would like to share my feedback regarding this hotel, specifically its lobby and main bar and services that I have recived. In October, I visited the lobby for a drink and spent several hours there. During my time, I had a couple of cups of coffee along with some snacks. After that, I left the hotel and headed to the airport for my flight home. Only upon arriving at the airport did I realize that my AirPods were missing. I immediately checked my locator app and saw that they had been left behind in the hotel lobby. I quickly called the front desk, and they connected me to someone at the bar. I spoke with a female staff member who confirmed that she had found the AirPods and left them at the reception. I requested that they be kept under my name so that a DHL courier could pick them up later that week, which she agreed to. A week later, just before arranging for the courier to collect them, I called the reception to confirm that everything was ready. To my surprise, they could not find my AirPods. The tracking app still showed them as recently active within the hotel's location. I spoke with the reception, who transferred me to housekeeping and lost & found. I provided details, including the AirPods' model and case description, to help locate them. They assured me they would search and get back to me. However, after a week, no one reached out. I called again and explained that my app showed the AirPods moving around the hotel. Once again, I was assured they were looking into it. In the end, I was told they couldn't find them. However, my tracking app continued to show the AirPods moving around the hotel premises throughout the day before eventually leaving the area. I am not pointing fingers or blaming anyone, but in my opinion, this is not the level of service expected from a five-star hotel. Losing a guest’s belongings, especially from the reception desk, raises concerns. While the food and drinks were good, my AirPods remain missing. I strongly advise future guests to be extra cautious with their belongings when staying at this hotel. If something can go missing from the reception, who knows what else might happen? Best regards,

Absolutely awful hotel because of its staff and housekeeping. Dated interior and no vibe. Bar area is old and the typical age bracket for this hotel is 65+. So boring. Rooms are ok but I found 19 hairs on one pillow in our first night. Complained to housekeeping and they just changed the pillow case. Second night, same mistake, 11 hairs. Disgusting. Front desk staff were indifferent and ill informed, they couldn't care. Showed them pictures of all the hair but attitude was so poor - no customer service at all. We checked out immediately and moved to a fantastic hotel nearby.

Beautiful place , beautiful people , and extra beautiful services . You feel home and in away they will offer you all the space you need. I’ve spent more than 2 months in Frankfurt for personal reasons and trust me that won’t be possible without the warmth I had from all of the employees there .

We had the most amazing stay celebrating my husband’s birthday at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Mr. Aziz kindly allowed us to check in early and even surprised us with an upgrade to mark the special occasion – such a thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated. The hotel room was absolutely exceptional, with every detail carefully considered, and the breakfast was out of this world – easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The variety, quality, and presentation of the food were fantastic, and it really set us up for our days of exploring. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start. The hotel’s location was perfect for walks around town and discovering all that Frankfurt has to offer. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect, and we’re already looking forward to returning.
