Perfect quick staycation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Super comfy, quiet and beautiful view of the pools and cabanas. What deserves a special mention is the shower water pressure. I’ve never experienced anything like this - it’s more like a spa treatment. Divine. FYI While most rooms in the guitar have no balcony, there is another building that offers balconies. The only thing off-putting was the ever present wafting odor of ganja in the hallway. The pool is crowded and noisy with kids - this was during the week, during school days. Who knew? However, you can go a bit further by the cabanas for a quieter lounge, where you can also find shade after about 1 pm. Staff is very friendly and helpful. What most surprised us was the quality of the restaurants on property. Some are a tad pricey but they are worth the splurge! The food in all four venues that we tried, was superb. For desert lovers- there is a 6-8 layer chocolate cake in Rise which supposedly is made on property that is mind blowing.

Great short trip. Fun Casino. Great staff!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Had a wonderful experience. Front desk check in Fabio to buffet host Micah, Edgar cashier and great server Katie. We stayed in Hollywood tower and cleaning staff was great also. We has a slight hiccup and met Byron from security that handled the matter professionally .Top to mention is great casino host Ken who helps so much since I have some mobility issues.

Decent place, prepare to spend!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Prepare to spend some money, with minimal return. Rooms are clean, hospitality staff are kind. Lots of kids, which suprised us a bit being a casino. About 25 minutes from Hollywood beach so that part is nice! Only free drinks are in high limit, and those are few and far between. Valet costs $35 every time you take your car out. Restaurants are good and staff are accommodating and really do aim to please. Order the beef tacos from the beach house and they have great drinks that come in coconuts and pineapples!

Disgusting and disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We went for my husband's 66th birthday and also Valentine's Day. Our room was really nice this time we had a pool view. One King room, one night $1,126.38. The dining is excellent at the 4 restaurants we have eaten at also. Council Oak, Cipresso, Bae, Sports Bar, and the Hard Rock cafe. We have seen 6 concerts in the past 3 years there. All are wonderful except the smoking that is allowed throughout just ruins the experience. My husband has acute asthma and I suffer with severe allergies. There should be a designated smoking area for smokers only. There are dogs, children, adults, and elderly that have to breathe in this toxic air. Why is this allowed? Why not have a designated smoking room for these people that chose to kill themselves with cigarettes and cigars. Only 11% of the population smoke so that leaves 89% that do not smoke. We pay high premium to be in a nice place for entertainment and dining . So why is this allowed? We also parked on the 3rd floor parking garage because of the early check out at 11:00 so we could spend the day at the casino today, we brought our luggage back to the car and came back in. The human urine smell was so strong, I actually gagged walking back to the elevator and I threw up in the trash can. Also there was a broken glass bottle that was left behind with clear glass scattered about. Why hadn't this gotten cleaned up? Why hasn't this garage which is filthy been pressure washed? Is there no one inspecting?
