This was my second stay at HRH Hollywood. First time went off without a hitch. The room I booked was the room I was given. Yes, it was comped. This visit booked the same type of room, also comped. When checking in, told that that room was not available, and given another type of room, a huge downgrade. I was told when booking a comped room, nothing is guaranteed. Then why show various types available when I booked? I looked at my online reservation, and it magically changed to the type of room I was being given. I had a picture of the original type of room I booked, but it fell on deaf ears. Said it is all explained in the fine print. So that started the trip off on a sour note. Enjoyed everything else, dinners were great, pool time was great, and came out ahead. Every trip I make to HrH Hollywood, I do really well, so I guess I can’t complain. I love the hotel and grounds, just did not like the fact that I felt like I got the shaft at check-in.

SCAM! This machine has been convincing people all day to put $25 in the slot machine for a chance to win a MILLION dollars- you put your $25 and it doesn’t even spin. Then you call the attendants and they blame it on the person who was gambling before you. And when you get upset, they threatened to call the cops on you for being unruly. This is a SCAM. It’s also the hotel offset got shot at.

On our last trip to Hard Rock we were playing Video Poker in the High Limit room and people are fighting and security did nothing. Two women and a man who work for security just stood there talking to each other. 6 people who were Carnival Cruise Lines Alumni were going at it with men and women slugging it out, yelling, drinks in plastic slurpy cups flying. Also the machines were filthy. At the point the fight broke out we cashed out, quick and on the way out we asked security why they were doing nothing and they did not answer us, Been to Vegas, AC, Islands, Macau and we’ve never seen this. And as someone who has played VP at high limits for decades, as a group, collectively, not one of the six people in our group over two days hit a single VP Jackpot. As people who spend between 4 to 8 hours per day in the casino we’re players and see everything from a different perspective. We found the comps low for our level of play, casino maintenance and security lacking and extremely tight machines and few good payout tables on the VP machines that were set to 60% 70% at best. Not one of the 6 experienced VP players left a winner at the end of two days. Never ever in all the Casinos we’ve been to together has this happened. With credit lines ranging $25K to Six-Figures, we found this as poor gaming experience. New there, we were told we didn’t rate for a lot of things even while playing $25 and $100 VP, they said they would kick things up after a few trips, well were traveling, not locals so it makes no sense to play if you’re not getting anything even if you lose your markers. Casino hosts, we’re no help because we’re just coming through. If this is the way Hard Rock runs Florida, when we go to Vegas, we’ll be skipping their property when it’s finished. There are no other real casinos in Florida so they have a monopoly and everything reflects that. Our rooms showed no value for what we paid and my socks were filthy from the carpet, furniture very dated, as was the TV, room finishes, broken phone, the food was moderate but the staff at the casino bar was nice and took our pictures when we sang happy birthday to one of our group. At checkout, we saw no comps, we paid our markers and left with no time to ask why nothing was picked up. While I only lost $10K, something should have been done for room, food even though we’re just traveling through. Good Luck at the Hard Rock if you’re a VP player….. You’re going to need it, Between the six of us we lost over $50K and got NOTHING, and we’re not going to stand around and BEG for comps, as we’re getting out of rooms at 10AM, paying markers and checking out. Pretty bad experience

We come to the Guitar Hotel every year. Some visits have some bumps..but we usually have great time...we started staying in the Oasis Tower that we find quiter than Guitar..same rooms walk in showers. Our check in was very good with Sebastian, nice and professional..He and JVan helped us get our toilet LOL...working and gave us a clock in our room, we didnt have one. Very disapointing 2nd day we go to Guitar pool only to find out after getting towels it was closed for private event...NO verbage anywhere that it would be closed the day before to let guests know..we went to old HR pool which was great, thankfully. Shout out to Hard Rock Cafe bar bartenders who are great, thankyou. Cipresso fantastic.. our waiter Robert from Staten Island was so professional he added to the experience there..Abiaka was good but not great...overall good time because of the staff that added to that. Hardrock do better you can do that..its the little things and communication between departments.

The Guitar Hotel provided a great experience, especially in the impressive pool area. However, it was mostly closed off due to a private event, which dampened the overall experience. The room itself was nice, facing the pool, but it didn’t justify the cost. Perhaps lowering the rate would make it a more appealing option, considering the room size and style.
