I absolutely LOVE Hotel ZaZa!! I recently went to Houston for a treatment at MD Anderson. Jessica went so above and beyond for my husband and I. After a two hour treatment and traveling 3 hours from Austin, I was pretty tired. Jessica not even not was able to accommodate a very early check in she also upgraded to the most beautiful room ever and had us checked in and keys already ready when we arrived!!! The entire staff made our stay so relaxing and stress free! This will be the only hotel we will ever stay at when in Houston!!! Thank you so very much for the best experience we have ever had!!!

After a 10 hours flight I arrived at 15:15 and I was asked to wait an hour to get a room booked weeks before…which I refused. I told the attendant that I was not at all pleased with this service. Instead of repeating like a mantra « sorry about that » : changing the rules, having more housekeepers could be a solution , but it has a cost this hotel clearly doesn’t not want to pay. Checking out is at 12: so normally « early » check in , 3/4 of an hour before in my case, should not have been a problem …. When asked to pay, I was not told that they charged 300 dollars more « in case I ate twice the content of the mini bar … »…and had to ask for an explanation…this was « too much » for the attendant »…she just left me… The very stiff and unsmiling manager took over. The only light smile I got was when my card went through… The less I could say is that I did not really feel welcomed… Maybe to have more experienced and professional people at the reception could be an option, and to better train them when they have to cope with a very explainable difficult customer….. I did have a room with a balcony but I got the worst view of the hotel: on an very ugly parking place…a very mean revenge for my not being pleased and my not submissive attitude. By the way: it is so noisy on the balcony, that is not worth it….no view and permanent noise…. So AVOID this place and find somewhere else more friendly and probably less expensive

Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by very nice and welcoming valet. Front desk was very friendly and hooked my wife and I up with an amazing room for our anniversary, room service was great, food phenomenal, decor was super cool, a moody gothic Victorian feel The bedroom was awesome and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We will definitely be coming back! Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

This review is for the Monarch @ Hotel ZaZa Restaurant. We didn’t stay at the hotel but had a fabulous dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Food and especially cocktails were delicious but it was the above & beyond service by the staff especially our main waitress Kirstyn. She was fun, friendly and gave us a lot of details about everything from food & cocktail on the menu to the city of Houston since we were visitors. The hotel lobby is decorated & furnished with interesting & quirky paintings, chandeliers & furniture, but it still looks chic. The restaurant looks modern & chic too. The hotel will be out first choice to stay the next time we’ll be in Houston.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location, amazing food and amenities, but truly what I’ll remember is the kindness of the staff! From Bertha in catering who offered a helping hand and a friendly smile, to Dylan, who tirelessly tracked down a package for me, all the way to Kelsey, who helped out with so many last minute details at check-out - and everyone in between - I felt truly cared-for and attended to! Thank you, Zaza friends!
