Although at first glance it appears a luxury resort, think twice unless you are looking for unrelentless loud noise all night. It’s a party, wedding, loud children party all night place. The insulation is nil and every sound echos through your room like you are in a war zone. If looking for peace, tranquility or are a light sleeper go elsewhere! A kudos though to all the staff here!

Overall experience was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was surprisingly good— especially the pool bar! Our kids had a blast— Camille was great at children’s games throughout the week. She was also very kind to our daughter with special needs. By the third day the pool was very warm so the heater must have went on, which was needed with small kids. The beach was nice, good vibe, and lots of inflatables, kayaks, etc. for the kids to play with. However, we were very unimpressed with our junior suite. It was tiny and bare, but thankfully the balcony was nice and the kids loved to be out there. Our only real complaint was the cleanliness of our room— there was thick dust all around the baseboards, and even daily cleaning wasn’t great.

This was our third year staying at Bakers Cay. This year there was a manually keyed charge on my card for $21. I emailed about it and was accused of stealing a beach towel! I let them know we in no way stole a beach towel, but they did not refund my money, rather said they’d let the manger know. Days later, no refund. I had to submit a dispute case through my credit card. Furthermore, we ate at the onsite restaurant, and left a tip of course. More than 20%. Upon checkout, we noticed that they automatically charged a gratuity, but did not tell us that. So if we didnt really look at the charges, we would have left a $33 top on a $60 meal! Not a trustworthy place, be cautious.

This little gem gets a 5/5! The room was nice, the resort was great, the location was fantastic, the beach was amazing, and the food was top-notch. Top it all off with great staff giving great service. I am very impressed with this property. If you are looking at photos, then yes, the exterior buildings look a bit rustic, but not rustic in a bad way, but rustic in a true Florida Keys kind of way. Key Largo is worth a visit, and staying at Baker's Cay Resort is the way to be there!

Fabulous Resort! We stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. I saw previous reviews suggesting Coconut Wing. We agree! John Hearn (GM ) was nice enough to upgrade us (Diamond) to a bayside 4th floor. ..outstanding. We spent all our time at Coconut beach... beautiful water and great bar service. Thanks John for a great stay!
