Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui

Fantastic hotel in every way. The room was overlooking the ocean, the staff and the service was amazing and the hotel had every amenity you could wish for. Adults only pool was great and the pool bar service was spot on. Direct beach access and everything you needed was a short stroll away but far enough away from the crowded town. Stayed the second week in another resort and it was nowhere near as good as this one. Even had complimentary vodka, gin and whisky in the room and everything in the min bar was included, including the beer. Five star all the way, we will definitely be back. Only negative point was that the room was on the small side, but still did not distract from a great hotel in a great location.

After a busy year we were eagerly awaiting what we expected to be a beautiful stay in a luxurious hotel. The reality of Centara was nothing like the expectations created on the website. The foyer carpets were tatty and dirty, not a great start even if the staff were lovely and welcoming. We booked a reserve ocean suite and on arrival found a disgusting shower suite in both bathrooms + worn and scuffed paint on the walls. I have stayed in better presented budget hotels. Given the torrential rain (clearly not the hotels fault) the hotel was filled up with dirty towels to stop flooding - and these seemed to hang around all day. Breakfast coffee was cold and even though the the buffet had a good selection, food ordered from the menu arrived cold. We were so disappointed we arranged to check out the day after we arrived. I am thankful to the staff who did not make this process difficult and who organised our refund which arrived in the promised timeframes. Think carefully if you are particular about your ' 5 star' options - first world problem of course but the price asked definitely didn't match what was offered on arrival. My advice - maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance. The attached pictures should speak for themselves (and this was after the 'special' clean).

Our first experience at the Centara Reserve Samui was nothing but perfect. From the beautiful room and facilities, to the incredibly pleasant staffs, and the delicious meals, everything was impeccable. We'll definitely come back and will likely be our go-to spot every time we visit Samui. Very happy with our stay!

A simply perfect vacation, the suite is perfect, the breakfast is perfect, the pool is beautiful and the service is amazing, the hotel is clean and well maintained, we had a perfect stay, the manager Jean gave us exceptional service and there is no doubt that we will return again.
