Great hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Joao checked me in and he was great, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in a very convenient area with nice restaurants, markets and walking distance to the metro. My room was spacious and clean. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Lisboa.

Awesome!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Exceptional service from everyone! The concierge and truly the entire staff were great! They have a wonderful lobby bar where the personnel were extremely attentive. The happy hour snack was customized for our vegetarian diet, it was amazing and something different every night! The hotel itself is very nice, and the room was spacious. It was an excellent choice for us, and we would stay again!

Can’t Wait to Come Back!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed two nights at Sheraton Lisboa, left for Evora for two nights and came back to the Sheraton for one more night. We were delighted when our status was rewarded with an upgrade to an Executive Suite on both stays. The suites were very spacious and felt very premium; and offered a stunning view of the city as far as the iconic Christ the King monument and 25 April Bridge! The whole suite was bathed in natural light and water pressure was great. The continental breakfast was good, both in terms of variety and quality. The lobby lounge was also the executive lounge. In the evenings, a singer would perform, enhancing our sundown experience. Two members of the staff deserve special mention for their kindness and attentiveness - Nuno took great care of us during the day, and in the evenings, Mario made us feel very privileged to be there. We certainly look forward to coming back!

Serviceable but Aging

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel is serviceable and is in a decent location within walking distance from Marques de Pombal. The rooms are not the highlight however. They are considerably aging, except the bathroom which was probably renovated recently but the rest is forgettable. At first we were given a standard room because we arrived a bit early and our room was not ready. That room type has quite awful dark brown carpet which fits with the rest of the hotel style : too dark, especially the hallways which give a gloomy feeling. Later we were moved to a club room which is not bigger but at least it had hardwood floor. They also say the view is nicer because it's "bridge view" but to be honest it's so far in the distance it's only a dot on the horizon. Guests who value suite upgrades as part of the Bonvoy program should look elsewhere because this hotel only has 10 suites out of more than 350 rooms. One highlight of the hotel is that guests can pretty much drink all day from 6am to 11pm because they have sparkling wine for breakfast and elites (Platinum and above) have free wine at the hotel bar near the lobby all day, not only during happy hour. I would prefer a real club lounge rather than sitting near reception, but at least the drinks aspect was a positive. The food during happy hour could be skipped though - they give a small bite size food tray. Service was nice during our stay so that's another positive I can think of. But overall it fails to "wow".

Still a great hotel with helpful staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This is one of the oldest 5 star hotels in Lisbon but still maintains a good choice. It is in the city centre and upper floors have good view of city. The rooms are comfortable and large and well equipped. The bathroom is very good. Breakfast is excellent and staff friendly. The spa is very good. My only disappointment is that post covid the lounge has been reduced to few hours in the restaurant, great change from what it used to be. And this was not well explained ar check.in.
