It was perfect honeymoon! For us, it was second time to stay in London. By the all experiences that ME brought to us, we love the city even more. Especially, Juhee Choi, the member of Aura team, took great care of us. From all my heart, I want to applaud her. She made our journey more special:) If you are considering now to pick the hotel, my answer is "Yes, do it!" It was great stay and I'm looking foward to have another wonderful stay in ME :) Thanks!!! P.S. Thank her again, Juhee Choi :)

ME+ is not all that special in London

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We arrived from Boston super early on the Monday before Christmas. Our room wasn’t ready so Cristina in reception pulled some strings and upgraded us to the ME+ 2 bedroom penthouse suite for the first 3 nights of our 5 night stay! We had to pay a little more each night but they threw in breakfast every day during our stay. The room was impressive with its “tower room” and we enjoyed sitting up there at the beginning and end of each day to take in the sights of London. Overall the room was great with wonderful toiletries provided in the shower and by the sinks and beds, coffee and tea and snacks and a minibar (BE AWARE: the snacks and drinks in the mini fridge are NOT complimentary! We did not know this until checkout and were extremely surprised that it was not included with ME+ rooms. There are no prices listed anywhere which let us to believe it was all complimentary). The layout was great for us with separate bedrooms and a large dining table where we could eat as a family. The major drawback of the penthouse was that we could hear a ton of street noise through the balcony doors and noise from the Radio Bar above the main bedroom. The beds were not super comfortable although it was nice to have the ability to split the king into two twins for my older boys. We also had tons of trouble with the ventilation system. Every night around 1-2am all four of us would wake up sweating since it seemed like the air stopped moving when there was no motion in the room. Another issue was the lighting. There were a ton of switches but there was no rhyme or reason to which switch operated which lights. It was super frustrating. We moved rooms to a two bedroom ME+ suite on night 4 and to be honest, it was a nicer layout except for the lack of a king bed in the second bedroom and no large dining table. One of our boys had to get a rollaway bed placed in the common lounge area. We still had the same problem with the ventilation system and lighting. There was also a smell coming from the entire bathroom in the primary after it was cleaned on the second day. It was like the floors were mopped with urine. It was disgusting! Despite the issues with the rooms, Cristina was a wonderful asset to the hotel. She went above and beyond to help us with everything from check in to check out. She even placed a special note, balloons and Lion King items in our room on the evening we went to see The Lion King musical!!! We were touched by her thoughtfulness.

Very poor, hotel has gone down hill

Stayed here on Saturday night having stayed here before and had a great experience. Unfortunately, this was an awful experience this time. Paid a premium for the room and ended up with an accessible room for some reason, on checking in nothing was mentioned about this being the room. I had booked the city view room and it was basically two single beds put together which wasn’t comfortable at all. The showerhead sprayed water all over the place. Like I said previously paid this crazy premium for this room I’m very disappointed with the entire experience at staying in the hotel, it’s a shame because previously we’ve had great experiences here. I was actually planning on staying here in January for a couple of nights as I have a conference locally and there would’ve been eight rooms that we would’ve booked, but after this experience, I think we will book else where. A couple of positives, Bluetooth speakers system in the room was a nice touch and the roof top bar was good. We ate at stk which we do quite often and this was great as usual. Breakfast was in Luciano, the food was really good however the service was so slow and they didn’t bring out the pastries and fruit first, lots of staff there and not that busy. When we went to check out I wasn’t even asked how was our stay. Real shame as I previously rated this hotel one of my favourites in london.

Glossy but no heart.

The ME London is a beautifully crafted hotel with glossy, marble walls and dim lights and in a great location. But there was no heart to it. Reception is on the first floor and you're greeted at the concierge desk before being brought up. The room, which was a city view with terrace, was very nice. We visited the bar on the top floor and that was nice too - DJ playing the beats. However, in spite of all the glossiness and five 'starishness' it was a cold place to stay (and I'm not talking about the temperature). Also, a discretionary accomodation tax of 5% was requested upon leaving which I was surprised at as the accomodation was very expensive anyway. Maybe if I had been a few decades younger I would have appreciated the hotel's 'vibe' more but I didn't realise until now how much I prefer a hotel with a welcoming reception on the ground floor and a good old lounge/bar area.

LOVED OUR STAY AT ME LONDON

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

What an amazing experience the ME London property provides. The ambiance is lovely and the signature fragrance that greets you upon check in is a relaxing and welcoming sensation after a long travel day. The property has a dark and minimalistic appearance but it is so elaborate! Everything is present but tucked away or worked into the features of the hotel. The front desk/check in area WOWS with the architecture and the projections on the walls are truly wonderful. Rooms and amenities are lovely and the location could not be beat if you want the lively attraction of the West End theater and shopping experiences. The STK restaurant in the hotel was nice to have and offered elegant ambiance. The breakfast and Luciano was wonderful and had many sections that kept us satisfied. Staff is amazing. The concierge desk was helpful and accommodating as well. This was my first time at a ME property and I would certainly stay again. We did also visit the roof top bar although we didn't get to stay long but I would love to go back and try it out! It was a beautiful experience.
