What a special place! Lovely rooms. Terrific location. Absolutely amazing staff! Brought a group here for London theatre…have done this for several years…we’re never disappointed! Thank you, Tajinder, Camellia, Mia, Declan, Levente, and each and every member of the staff. Too many to name. You make our trip special each and every year!

My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our stay at the Montague. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved the variety and quality of the full English breakfast buffet. The decor was charming. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. The location is terrific: right around the corner from the British Museum and lovely Russell Square, yet a short walk to nightlife in the theatre district.

Loved the alpine inspired gourmet fondue it was a great experience with good pricing and very welcoming staff. The cheese selection was great with onions, pickles, bread, tomatoes, and potatoes for a great price, I would come back again to this experience

My wife and I are what I would consider regulars at this hotel, as we have stayed here on five seperate occassions. Great price point for what you are getting: comfortable beds, gracious and friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet and a quiet street in Central London close to the British Museum, Russell Square and, most amazingly, the number 14 bus, a main East West bus line in London, literally stops right at their front door. We have enjoyed every stay at the Montague and plan on staying there on all our future trips to London.

This was an amazing experience. The staff were all very polite and patient. I was initially just going for tea and scones, but caved and did the traditional afternoon tea (since this is my first time, figured I should try the full experience). The staff (Megan was my server) made sure to take note of allergies, and was more than happy to substitute and not include some sandwiches I wasn’t as keen too. Megan was fantastic, and made sure to check up on me throughout my stay. She answered all my questions to help me make informed decisions about what I wanted (such as asking about what the seasonal parties were). Other staff assisted as well, and one made a recommendation of English Breakfast with Tea and Honey. I don’t drink tea often, but it was very pleasant. I also had the flowering green tea which was visually appealing and probably my favorite. This location is also next to the British museum, so you can go explore there before or after your tea (what I plan on doing). There was more than enough for one person and wish I could have finished everything. For the experience, service, and food, I believe this was a good 45£ spent for one’s first tea.
