A wonderful, welcoming hotel with an absolutely fabulous restaurant!

We had a very comfortable room which faces the Vilcanotq River - a raging torrent at this time of year. A warm welcome. And a Very nice breakfast. But the special dinner n a 20 person dining toon on the second floor was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Wow!

The hotel is on the train line, literally. Our room did not have air conditioning, although some rooms do have air conditioning. You cannot open the windows for air, 1- no screens and bad mosquitoes,2- the train goes all night long. We asked for a room with air conditioning, they were unable to accommodate us. Needless to say the room was hot and noisy. The train passed 4 times during the night.

Much for you in Machu Pichu

Located in the heart of Aguas Caliente ( Machu Pichu) this hotel is a wonderful stopover. The hotel overlooks the roaring river ( request a river facing room) and oozes the history of the Inka nation Easy access to walk the quaint and interesting streets, the butterfly farm and Machu Pichu museum. ( well worth a visit) Service was outstanding from everyone we interacted with. Rooms are well appointed and the restaurant was great. Lomo Soltado was delicious and a hearty helping. After a long day of sightseeing, this is a wonderful retreat.

Magical stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel at the foot of Machu Picchu was a delightful surprise during my recent trip. The impeccable service, exquisite cuisine, and knowledgeable staff truly set it apart from other establishments in Aqua Calientes. Located conveniently next to the Urubamba river and surrounded by breathtaking mountains, this hotel offers a unique experience for travelers. Despite the rainy weather upon our arrival, the hotel staff was well-prepared with umbrellas and assistance with our luggage. The efficiency and professionalism displayed by the front desk staff, including arranging a late checkout and luggage delivery service, were commendable. Overall, I must say that this hotel is a top choice in Aqua Calientes, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its exceptional food, services, and picturesque river view.

The hotel is beautiful- we had a river view room, watched all the fun go by! The staff was wonderful - helpful, friendly and all spoke excellent English. The food in the restaurant was the best we’ve had in all of Peru and the servers were attentive. We fully enjoyed our stay!
