Amazing Staff, great Food, relaxing Spa, comfortable Rooms, excellent Tour Packages

We booked this hotel for our visit to Aguas Calientes and the Machu Picchu area. We booked all of the transportation, train and Tours to Machu Picchu directly with Ana at the hotel. She made this process very easy. As soon as we arrived to Cusco, our driver was waiting with our name on a sign. We booked a sacred valley tour with the hotel as there were many sites on the way to the train station. We ask the tour Guide to stop in a few extra places, and they accommodate us. When we arrive to the train station everything was in order with our train tickets through the hotel we booked the scenic car and has an enjoyable train ride to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival to the train station and the hotel representatives were there waiting for us to help take our luggage down to the hotel. At check-in they upgraded us from a queen room to a Riverview king room. We had room service the first night as we have been traveling all day and the food was very good we had breakfast included with our package so we ate breakfast in the hotel every morning it was very good the concierge is at the hotel what was going on with our services and tours and he also suggested a few other sites to see in the area which we did. Luis was always checking with us and making sure that we knew what was going on with our services and tours and he also suggested a few other sites to see in the area which we did. The two are we booked with a hotel for Machu Picchu came with a private God who came and met with us the night before and explained everything that was going to happen the next day. The trip to Machu Picchu was amazing having a guy telling us all of all the history and information about the historic site was great. We had dinner at a restaurant recommended by the hotel called full house and it was very good. We also had dinner in the restaurant at the hotel many nights and the food was amazing definitely try the llama! We also utilize the spa services we got foot rubs and massages and they were very relaxing and well needed after a long day hiking in Machu Picchu. The hotel even surprised us with a complimentary lunch one day for no particular reason. Random acts of kindness! The check out was very easy and they helped get our luggage back to the train station and saw us off with smiles. This hotel and the staff are amazing and we recommend it highly!

Amazing Hotel, great location, excellent food, wonderful Spa, and first class customer service! We stayed 4 nights to visit Machu Picchu and the site in Aguas Cállentes. We enjoyed breakfast every morning in the hotel and had several dinners. The food was very well done. We enjoyed foot rubs and massages after long days of hiking Machu and other sites. Our room was upgraded upon arrival. We book all our airport transfers and tour through the hotel and they made everything seamless! We will return for sure!! Thank you to Luis, Ana and all the amazing staff for your excellent customer service and always making sure we were happy and enjoying our stay.

Best relaxing massage ever

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I stayed in a room with a beautiful view of the river. My husband and I took the opportunity to have an Andido-style massage and relax. It was the best relaxation experience of our lives. Laura and Elizabeth have blessed hands and made us feel like very special people. We feel completely relaxed after the day's trails. much gratitude.

Highly Recommend!

Everything about our three-night stay was exceptional! We were met at the train station by an employee and he carried our luggage on the short walk to the hotel. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and friendly hotel staff. The room was very comfortable and we slept great! We had the medium board, which included breakfast and dinner in the price of the room. The food and drinks were delicious! We spent two days hiking MachuPicchu, so we treated our sore muscles to a 2-hr spa treatment, which was amazing! I seriously doubt you can find a better hotel, with the same amenities, for the price. I highly recommend Sumaq Hotel!

Thank you Richard and Jose for your help with luggage and thank you Larry for being an amazing waiter. Great service and great time at this hotel!!! Would recommend it for access to Machu Picchu as it is not far from the bus stop. Make sure you get a guide for Machu Picchu to learn all the history.
