About the Hotel

Tucked away on gently sloping, tropical beachfront on the northwest coast of the island, Calabash Cove is one of a few luxury boutique hotels on St. Lucia. Nestled in the sheltered bay of Bonaire Estate, Calabash Cove is perched on a hillside sloping gently towards the Caribbean Sea, where cool ocean breezes provide a wonderful respite and the turquoise sea is offset by the vibrant green of tropical vegetation and views of Walcott Island. A secluded beach sheltered by a nearby coral reef provides the perfect place to rest, reflect and dream. The resort has been designed with great care to complement and exist in harmony with the beauty of its natural surroundings. The main buildings of the hotel, such as the lobby, restaurant, bar, sanctuary, and infinity pool with waterfall offer stunning ocean views, with the Watersedge Cottages amidst lush vegetation perfectly situated to view nightly sunsets.

Reviews for Calabash Cove Resort & Spa

Romantic, relaxing stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

We had an amazing vacation at Calabash. The staff were fantastic & friendly. The resort is beautifully landscaped & maintained. We were initially in a sunset suite & then moved to a cottage. The cottage had a gorgeous view & we enjoyed the private pool & deck. Was very romantic! We loved that the resort was small so we never felt crowded at the main pool or on the beach. On our last night, we had a private dinner on the pier & the food & our server were outstanding. I would absolutely stay here again.

A Jewel that be an absolute gem with a little polish

We recently had our winter sun vacation at Calabash Cove and we loved it, were there some things that could be improved a little, yes, but don't let this detract from what is haven in the St Lucian Rain Forest. The hotel is beautifully situated on a steep hillside (isn't everywhere in St Lucia), so not ideal for people with mobility issues. The hotel is set in beautiful lush gardens and because of the low number of rooms feels really intimate. There is a small, but very adequate and beautiful beach. The staff are an absolute delight, all of them, they all want to make sure you have the best timne when you are at their property. They are very friendly, professional and very engaging. they made our day most every day. We asked for and were provided with a very special dinner for my wife's Birthday on the little jetty that juts into the Caribean sea, which was beautiful. The rooms were spotlessly clean, ours was in the main building, they also have suites on the hillside. Ours was perfect for us, it had a huge jacuzi tub that we never used and a shower that whilst not the most modern we have seen was great all the same. We ate at the hotel most nights of our stay because the situation was for us a peacefule haven. The food was good on every occasion. Don't expect very fine dining, it is not that. One of our requests of the hotel would be to add a little variation to the food by having 7 to 10 different specials menus, we were getting the same one after what seemed like only a few days. The staff in the restaurant and the bar are a delight, always smiling and wanting to know you are having a good time. In Summary, what we loved, our room, the situation, the gardens, the beach, the staff (all of them) and the cocktails. Things that we think could step up our review from 4 to 5 stars, vary the daily food specials menu, provide cushions on the sunbeds at the beach, allow customers to pay in local currency by card rather than having to suffer a punative exchage rate imposed by the hotel to convert to USD. We would highly recommend this hotel, with a little investment it could be an absolute gem.

This place definitely makes you feel special. The staff is friendly and always attentive and the food at lunch and dinner was always excellent! Try the chicken roti meal for lunch at the pool…. It’s amazing! I had it every single day! You and your loved ones should visit.

An amazing time in paradise

Incredible experience. Staff is so incredible, location is beautiful and accommodations are large and luxurious. Small resort don’t always feels like you have the place to yourself! Plenty of amenities and you’re never going to miss out with the concierge staff taking care of your adventures. Can’t wait to come back!

A 5 Star Experience

My wife and I just returned from a fabulous week at Calabash Cove and St Lucia. Calabash Cove is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The views from anywhere on the site are incredible. First the staff is incredible. All ( grounds crew, housekeeping, bar keep, wait staff, management, concierge) greeting you with a smile, a heart felt greeting and a positive inquiry of how you were doing or what you had done last night. Their motto is to dial "0" and ask for service and they delivered every time. With only 50+ guest you have a very private atmosphere. The beach is raked every morning and stocked with lounge chairs, open air covered sitting areas, kayaks, paddle boards, etc and we only had 6-10 other people on the beach with us at any time. We had a cottage with a nice plunge pool and covered terrace. Cottage has a nice living room complete with two long shelfs of books to read. Nice bedroom and bath with an outdoor shower with a nice view of the ocean. A well designed cottage with a nice cozy feel. The dining area is covered/open air and provides a grand vista over the entire property and spectacular view of the Caribbean. We had the Breakfast plan but they also have an all inclusive option. All meals were excellent and presented well. In addition to the full menu at each meal they also have a daily special for each meal. At dinner each night they have a musician playing. Each night was a different musician playing different instruments and types of music. The played in a soft manner as a very nice background to our meals. Made for a very special atmosphere. A concierge was on duty at anytime we were at the lobby. Seemed like 24/7. They were fantastic for arranging tours, taxi, and dinner reservations in town. Bottom line. True 5 star resort.
