Fairmont Mayakoba

Beautiful property…it’s too bad the restaurant situation is such a disaster over spring break because there just aren’t enough dinner slots for the number of people on property. Unless you have reservations long before you get there you will be left scrambling for food choices. Luckily we didn’t have the all inclusive package so were able to go use the Rosewood restaurants when the Fairmont couldn’t accommodate us but even that is 50% more expensive than what you would think expensive would be.

We enjoyed our time at Fairmont Mayakoba. Daniel and Alejandro, our butlers, made our trip effortless. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to golf cart around the very large property with ease. The spa is lovely as well.

We had an excellent time at Myakoba during an eighth grade group vacation. There were 23 families and we had a large party. However, it never seemed crowded or that we were fighting for spots either at the pool or at the beach. We had excellent service. We were provided two butlers Sofia and Fernando who were excellent for our family of three. They were able to make reservations at the spa and for Pickleball and for dinner reservations They were definitely worth the additional cost. Overall, the facility was beautiful. Everything was well maintained and well curated. The service staff at every bar every restaurant and every pool and beach stall were friendly and helpful and bilingual. This was my second time there and every time I go I enjoy myself even more. Highly recommend this resort either at the Fairmont or at Rosewood or at Banyan tree

We just returned from 6 nights at the Fairmont travelling with my husband and teenage daughter, and our parents. Everyone had a great time. The resort is one of the nicest Fairmonts we have stayed at! The rooms : these met our expectations for a 5* resort. We had Fairmont rooms - in the building attached to the lobby. These were spacious, spotless, great A/C. Bathroom with rain shower and soaker tub. Comfortable beds. Daily cleaning and turn down service. Many pools with plenty of loungers. We were late to go to the pool, and were pleased to find that loungers were still available mid/late morning, even during the busy March season. Other places we have been to, you have to run out at the crack of dawn to put out some belongings. The palapas and umbrellas at the beach tend to get filled earlier; we were able to find some loungers but not necessarily shade, in mid morning. The infinity pool at the beach has limited loungers nearby so we didn't try. Food: the breakfast buffet at La Laguna was good. Pretty busy by 10-10:30 so better to go earlier. We didn't do all inclusive. Prices are typical for a 5* resort. Lunch for us was usually a light snack at the beach. La Fondita at El Pueblito had great tostadas for a reasonable price, but you will need to leave the beach/pool and take a golf cart to get there. Otherwise a 15-20 min walk. Due to some food allergies, we had dinner just twice at the hotel restaurants - Tauro and Bassano. Food was good, though underwhelming for the price. The service was consistently friendly and helpful. In particular, Fabian, the concierge, helped me arrange multiple dinner reservations, including transport from the hotel, tennis court bookings and also a cooking class at El Pueblito (excellent class btw). He updated us on Whatsapp and this really made our vacation run so smoothly. Thank you Fabian! We look forward to coming back again.

We had an unforgettable vacation, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible service provided by Alejandro and Daniel. They truly went above and beyond in every way. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made our experience feel extra special and over the top. From the moment we arrived, they anticipated our every need and made sure everything was seamless and personalized. Whether it was arranging special touches, ensuring we were always comfortable, or just being there with a friendly smile, they made us feel completely taken care of. Their hospitality was exceptional, and they truly elevated our entire stay. We are so grateful for everything they did to make our trip so memorable!
