Had a great time spending 1 week at this resort as a couple. Worth noting - The service provided by Antonio Perez at the restaurant was outstanding. He would even remember minute details and preferences of ours. Makes the experience of dining so much better when you have servers of that caliber.

In Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay at La Cordeliere restaurant, our server Antonio Perez was the best! He was always so attentive and cheerful. Always going above and beyond. Ask to sit in his area and you will see. Thank you for making our trip the best one yet!

I love this place. The rooms are nice, the staff is super friendly and the setting is beautiful. I have one complaint - the timeshare group that sits at the front entrance as you check-in. When you check in they are relentless! We've been to their 90-minute sales breakfast before and decided, in advance, that we wouldn't attend this time but my wife had some mild interest in the "deal" they were offering to attend. I said "no" but the guy convinced me that we could "make up our mind tomorrow", so I said fine. Then he asked me for $20. I asked what that would be for and he said "to be sure you'll give us an answer by 10:30 AM tomorrow." I foolishly gave him the $20. When I showed up at 10:15 AM (early) to tell them we had definitively decided not to go I was told that the $20 was NOT refundable (like they had promised me). They said I had misunderstood and that the guy I talked to 'didn't have very good English'. That was a pure lie and they refused to give me the 'refundalbe' $20 because they had 'prepared a breakfast for me'. Whatever you do, don't give them the $20. You will NEVER get it back. Just say no and simply enjoy your stay in spite of them.

We have been visiting Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay since 2007. We expressed concerns with the facilities, and food/drink and after returning home, recieved a follow up phone call from Martin, the Director of Operations. He shared that the company focused on keeping people working during the COVID travel downturn and now are working to catch up on some deferred projects. He shared info on current and upcoming projects and how he is specifically following up on the concerns we noted. He demonstrated thoughtful attention to our concerns without excuses. We are looking forward to our future visits at PBEB.

Overall a nice trip. The rooms need updating badly and new mattresses. Food choices could be improved. Entertainment was lacking. The super star of the experience was Julio Vargas, our waiter by the pool. He was on top of it. Very friendly and funny.
