Fabulous time at The Grand.
We've always wanted to stay at The Grand Hyatt and were able to splurge on this trip thanks to a great room rate we sourced earlier this year. The room was spacious and we found the beds super comfortable. We were seeing a show at The Regent theatre and dining around the corner at Chin Chin so the location of the hotel was a winner for us. Lune Croissanterie is across the road. They were very accommodating with an earlier check in so we could shower before the matinee.

Overnighter in the city
We stayed for a night to celebrate my husbands birthday and had a great time overall. Location is unbeatable, so close to everything and beautiful views over the city. Hotel common spaces are impressive and reception staff very friendly. Our room and the pool area were looking quite tired and in need of a refurbishment, for the price it was a little underwhelming.

Grand Hyatt Melbourne is a great place to stay.
I couldn't believe my luck! I booked a King room with Yarra river views at the Grand Hyatt and was upgraded to the Amabassador Suite on arrival. It was an amazing and very luxurious experience. I recommend you stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne if you can afford it - it's a fantastic location and the hotel is so well polished with excellent staff who are very efficient and polite. Such a great place to stay.

I have known this hotel when it opened nearly 40 years ago. The location is convinient to go around the city area and easy access to trams are very good for tourists. The breakfast buffet was great offering various menus. I arrived little after 13:00 but I was able to go to the room and take a rest for my mother needed a rest after a long flight.

Great find in Melbourne
My King bed room was spacious and I was able to use the couch/table as a desk area. Whether you eat in the hotel restaurant or have access to the lounge on the 31st floor, food was great and plentiful. Also, given the hotel's location, there was sooooo much to see and do in the area whether it was shopping or venturing out to NGV or walk along the Yarra. You'll get your steps in but that's perfect for Melbourne.
