Wow, great Valet parking service by Paul, Cesar & Jorge. They were kind, easy, friendly and professionals. Thank you guys! And the staff at the AKA hotel business event was also outstanding along with the food service. Thank you! It is worth doing business with you. @aquarealtor

We stayed at the AKA Brickell 17th to 19th October - overall the stay was good but there were unfortunately a few niggles. On checking in we were really quite delighted by the accommodation which appeared to be very well equipped/furnished (as it so happens to suit condo/airbnb - more of that later). The hotel allowed us to check in a little early and we were allocated room 3112. It would appear perhaps an upgrade to what we had paid for so that was great. We were also given vouchers for two drinks at the bar(Adrift) on floor 25. We tried to use these on the way out but turns out the bar only opens at 5pm. Later on we returned after a short walk through Brickell we called back into Adrift and really had a most pleasant time sitting on the balcony enjoying the Miami sunset (albeit a bit windy) but service etc absolutely excellent. We had drinks and no food at this stage. Following morning we went down for breakfast as that was included in our room rate (note for fellow guests - this is somewhat limited i.e to a few "continental" or cold buffet items anything else is a charge above - understandable to seek to maximise revenue but no doubt ultimately will be counterproductive). Notwithstanding I did in fact order a "cooked" item - something akin to smoked salmon on sourdough from memory. Food itself was good but problem was length of time it took to arrive. At one stage we were in fact just going to leave however it then arrived. Please note the breakfast room was by no means busy at that time. The following morning we did not order anything but stuck to the cold buffet however we did notice others having similar waits and in fact one gentleman actually just left before his order was delivered. Main problem I have with this hotel occurred on the second night. We had just returned from day out travelling and dropped into Adrift around 5.30 (from memory) for few drinks similar to previous evening. I requested that the drinks/tab be put on my room as per the previous evening i.e 3112 only to be told by the bar tender that condo cannot have credit at bar. I queried this and he said that because we were "airbnb" there was no way he could allow bar tab/credit. Clearly I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and was really a bit insulted but had little wish to argue further and instead said will pay cash. I was asked if I wanted the change back (a little cheeky considering but ok I get it - I replied YES). This was again a problem he had no cash for change but to be fair did arrange for a colleague to go and get it from somewhere. Clearly our evening was ruined at the hotel after this fiasco so just headed out to Brickell. My problem with this whole scenario is that clearly they were incorrect and that is probably not the fault of the individual bar server. We have never stayed in condo/airbnb in our lives and did not book this at AKA. Perhaps somewhere on their website it does explain that part of the building is airbnb/condo but I had not noticed. However when this was explained to me the following morning when I was complaining to reception I did then notice that mainly the rooms adjacent all had additional combination locks on their doors - so I am not so sure how this works for the security of the guests? Finally would I stay again NO - Intercontinental along the road at the Bayside is significantly superior (in my view/experience) with none of the above and no additional charges at breakfast etc.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at AKA Hotel Brickell! From start to finish, the AKA team made planning our offsite event and team accommodations an absolute breeze. The staff was collaborative, professional, and attentive to every detail, which made the whole process seamless. Our team loved the convenience of being so close to the conference rooms, which were spacious and well-equipped. The catering services were top-notch – delicious and impeccably managed. We highly recommend AKA Hotel Brickell for both events and stays; it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll certainly be back.

I was really pleased with this hotel. I travel to the Brickell area every few weeks and usually stay at another hotel, but I am always searching for the best value for the money. AKA is a superb value for the money. Very nice and very large, clean room. No complaints at all. And of course the location can’t be beat. Good gym too. I wish they had a rewards program which would make it perfect.
