First - the location is fantastic (heart of BKC). There are some incredible entertainment and dining options around the hotel - NMACC, O'Pedro, Lyla, Bawri, and the like. The rooms were also very comfortable - what I just did not understand was the choice of decor inside. The most inoffensive way I will choose to describe it is 'funky'. Entirely subjective, but I did not find the design language to be tasteful at all.

Great hospitality thought out the duration of the stay at Sofitel. Ranjit was excellent with his room service, beds were made, bathroom cleaned etc towels perfect and bed linen crisp. Can't fault anything. The room was always topped up with plenty of water which was needed. Buffet breakfast had a great selection and variety for all tastes.

Appreciate the easy check-in even at 4am arrival. We did book an additional night to ensure no waiting for the usual check-in time. Security staff, actually all staff, are graceful and welcoming. Food is excellent, both breakfast buffet (have a masala dosa!) and dinner. Drinks are expensive - clearly catering for $$$ earning business travellers. This time around, the hotel missed the mark, badly. Despite being checked-in as a repeat guest, some colleagues did enjoy hand-written notes in their room and flowers and gifts. I did not. The housekeeper adjusted so very well after the first night - placing additional water where I was clearly using it in the bathroom. Making the room comfortable and homely. Suddenly, everything just fell apart. No evening turn-down (despite spending hours on end, every single night at the restaurant and bar and not being in the room), none of those special touches. Haven spoken to the same duty manager a few days apart, it just didn't improve. On the last night, after again having to highlight the disappointment, I received a wonderful 'old fashioned whiskey' delivered to the room. Service recovery - thought so. But at check-out later the evening, was again mostly ignored. Had to carry own bags out despite concierge staff standing around and it was just a dog-show. Going again in 2 weeks. Despite the repeated failures, I've decided to give them one more chance. Wonder whether their systems and processes will recognise the reported poor experience. Holding thumbs

It’s amazing experience here in Sofitel hotel BKC, Mumbai and staffs are very friendly and humble. Food is very good . Moreover I am very much happy with staff who are in lobby area who always welcome with kind smile faces specially Gayatri. It was nice stay
