My fiance and I were celebrating our anniversary and our engagement at the Mt Washington Omni. The service was fantastic. The staff was extremely hospitable. We received a room upgrade and an assortment of sweets and a bottle of champagne to celebrate. All of the dining staff were super friendly! The entire hotel was decorated beautifully to celebrate the holidays. The room was very nice and clean overall a great visit. Only downside is the jacuzzi is only for those who pay for the spa.

Shuttle service: I was standing for the ride while employees took up all of the seats. Spending $1,000 per night to stand on a shuttle while employees take priority is an easily avoidable gaffe, just sloppy, really. Guest/customer should be at the centre of your experience design. Each 50 minute massage lasted 35 minutes. Therapists were late and finished early. $225 for 35 minutes is a bizarre way to organize the treatments. Won’t deliver coffee to the room. Food was meh. Serious amount of deferred maintenance. I think advertising as a luxury hotel is a bit rich.

The experience at the Omni Mt. Washington was as wonderful as you would expect. Chef Schmitt in the “1902” is as creative and talented as you get on Tauck tour. Each dish, though maybe familiar is prepared to surprise. The staff at Omni was professional and everyone we came in contact was friendly and helpful. All we needed to do was ask. The traditional room was a bit small but we were budgeting and it is a very old and historic hotel. A trade off we did not mind. The other thing we liked were all the young families and beautiful decoration for the Christmas season. Lovely job!

While the views are spectacular and the staff were wonderfully friendly, the overall experience was terrible, especially considering the cost. First of all the room and hotel were incredibly dirty. I realize it is a big hotel, but the chairs and couches in the common areas were covered in stains – some resembling vomit. Everyone's food from the previous night's room service left outside doors for pick up were there for almost a full 24 hours before being removed. The outdoor pool had a lot of debris in it, including a giant worm. There was also construction going which had debris in multiple hallways and it was going on all during the day, making it incredibly loud in the beautiful viewing room. The biggest frustration was that the food situation was insulting. Mon-Tues, 3 out of the 5 lodge restaurants were completely closed. This left only the $50+ a plate main dining room, bar with only small bar bites, and room service left. This wouldn't be as big of an issue except that there is no other food in the area for 30+ minutes, which is not great for driving at night in the winter in the mountains. We paid almost $100 for a burger and two kids meals. On top of that, the second kids meal was not as described and they didn't bring the 2nd drink. When we were stuck ordering room service for our last night due to restaurant closures, not only was our meal missing the drink again, but something in the burger completely cut open my boyfriend's mouth to the point where we needed gauze from the downstairs office. Lastly, when reviewing the bill, not only did they charge us for parking in the $20 lot when we already told them we had parked in the free lot (a fee they quickly removed), but a previously undisclosed "Resort fee" for $45 popped up for each day we stayed. This was just salt in the wound, especially considering the hotel was barely a "resort" – between the construction, indoor pool out of commission, and the Nordic Center and half the restaurants being closed, there wasn't much of a "resort" left.

Everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The valet greeted us warmly upon arrival, setting the tone for a fantastic experience. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the service was impeccable throughout our stay. Even checkout was seamless, leaving us feeling valued and appreciated. This was hospitality at its finest, and we can't wait to return! Highly recommend to anyone seeking exceptional service and a memorable experience.
