We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous landmark hotel, highlighted by an evening performance by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Visitors should be sure to have late afternoon cocktails and cheese/charcuterie plates in the Conservatory, as we did (when we were also treated to a moonrise over the surrounding mountains - WOW).

Long past I wrote a review about this hotel. For me, it's a very special place that also has an amazing history and played a roll during a pivotal period of World financial history during WWII. Additionally, the hotel and surrounding facilities are cradled by the surrounding mountains and mountain river. The hotel itself is simply beautiful, comforting, quieting and peaceful. The grounds and immaculate and accessible for those long walks. In this review, I would like to recognize Loyalty Desk associates, Jacquelyn Lamoureaux and Rhonda Picou. Through their actions, they literally saved a long-planned birthday mini-vacation because of a happy, but unplanned family issue. Jacquelyn took the remnants of what time I had left and gave me the best 24-hours at the Omni Mt Washington Hotel. Additionally, direct thank you for the other related services, valet parking, front desk associates, wait staff and the room preparedness with an incredibly soothing view, i.e., Room 200. It's a special place and worth your reservation.

Been meaning to come stay for years, even booked and cancelled a couple times. made it two nights for the Glenn Miller Orchestra dinner dance. 309 is a dated but nice and large room with a large closet and modern bathroom. A superb mountain view from the window though only 6000 ft tall sure is spectacular in New England. The room smelled musty upon entry but just fine after we opened the window. The hotel built in 1902 is a significant historic wooden structure where the IMF was first discussed in 1944 at wars end. The public areas are all rather grand and rather lovely to enjoy, though some F&B outlets were not open during our stay (the shuttle took us to Fabians). The Cave is a rather special and unique bar in the basement level that opens at 9am. On a very positive note, is the staff hospitality training, as everyone we met throughout our stay was friendly and smiled at us. There is a building tour at 10am which is insightful. The Glenn Miller event was majestic and magical, while the F&B could have been done better (it was just good enough). Anyone coming to this hotel should be aware of the extras - $20 a day self-parking - $45 a day resort fee - all adds up. But a place like this needs a substantial M&R operating budget along with capex annually.

I have been coming to the Mount Washington Hotel with my family since I was 14 (almost 40 years ago). It is my happy place, my magic place. Hard to describe... a sense of coming home. It combines luxury with connecting to nature like no other place for me. When Omni bought the hotel years ago, we were disappointed with the results: nicer rooms but poorer service and the dining room no longer had a dress code. I came back this past November 2024 with a dear friend and was so impressed with the improvement. The service was amazing, the food delicious and we had the fortunate opportunity to partake in the Glenn Miller Orchestra evening. Enchanting! I am planning my next visit for January.

My sister and I were very excited to take a girls weekend out of town, but we’re disappointed with our experience at the hotel. We opted to pay the higher rate and do the spa package, but from the time we got there, nobody seemed to know that we had booked the spa package and what the spa package entailed. The room was fine, minus the decor being a little dated, no fridge in the room, the bare minimum of soap provided. We had some hiccups getting coffee with our loyalty coupon (restaurants being closed and espresso machines being broken) so we instead tried to take the walking trails with the provided map, but ended up getting lost in the woods without any idea where we were going. None of the trail signs matched the markers on the provided map and we had to guess the entire way. We turned around when we hit a roadway. I will say, it was the off-season and things might’ve been different if it was either peak skiing or peak hiking season, but we were left underwhelms with our experience at the hotel. The spa services themselves were great and we found the spa to be very relaxing, but it did not make up for the rest of the trip being so underwhelming. We drove almost 3 hours to get there after flying in from another state. Based on our experience, we likely wouldn’t do it again.
