About the Hotel

Step inside the exquisitely carved wooden doors at Chambers. Expansive windows and posh rooms, designed by renowned architect David Rockwell, are top of the menu here. Not to mention the lobby is downright stunning. Stroll through Central Park or take in a show at Radio City Music Hall. You’re right in the heart of all Midtown Manhattan has to offer. If you get hungry, Felice serves coffee, pastries, and delicious Tuscan fare right downstairs.

Fabulous location, quiet, helpful staff, clean comfortable room and bathroom. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Easy walk to the Met, MOMA, Neue Gallery and MAD Museum. I even walked to the Whitney and Greenwich!!!I would book this hotel again in a New York minute!

Staying in Midtown? Stay at Chambers/Sonder.

Researching where to stay in NYC can be a daunting task. So many options. Such differing opinions on the same place. Thankfully, Chambers/Sonder ticked all the right boxes. While travelling around the US, we booked it twice during our trips to NYC. Here's how it makes a difference: 1. The people: Keith, it was so lovely to meet you. The conversations, the helpful tips - you made us feel welcome in every possible manner. Cristian, thank you for helping us with the shifting of rooms. That really made a huge difference. Of course, the rest of the team - Brendan, Stephanie, Jordie, Natasha, Edwin and the housekeeping team who kept everything spic and span - thank you all. 2. The location: Chambers/Sonder is literally smack bang in the middle of all the action. We loved the fact that the serene environs of Central Park was just around the corner. When the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue/Times Square gets a bit too much, you can simply head to Central Park for some quiet time. Great breakfast option - pick up freshly-made sandwiches, smoothies, etc. from Bread & Butter next door. There's also Tina's - a Cuban joint that serves the most delicious dishes for lunch. Try the Ramen at Shinjuku, Dim Sums at Dim Sum Palace - again minutes away from the hotel. Lots of dining options in the neighborhood. 3. The rooms: Spacious, airy, oh-so-comfortable beds, bathrooms where the showers were lovely to stand under after a long day out, great selection of coffee/tea. Do note that being in the heart of the action comes with the fact that there's a fair amount of noise - basically police/emergency services sirens (can be a bit of a rude awakening at night - you do get used to it after a couple of nights) and if you book a Queen room, there's construction noise. There's also a mezzanine floor where you can work/dine/chill, or replenish water/coffee/tea/toiletry supplies. Hopefully, we'll come back to NYC at some point in life. And this time, we won't need to research a lot about where we're going to stay. We'll head straight to 15W 56th Street. Thanks, Gopa/Micky

A gem of a place

In middle of the city with proximity to good food, central Park, shopping and more importantly all my work places. The room was super clean, staff was super courteous, and it had style. The Italian restaurant has really good food, buzzing in the evening. I enjoyed my lunch on Saturday and coffees every other day. I will try to always stay at their properties.

The staff was amazing! Thank you Edwin, Stephanie, Brenden, Natacha, Keith, Giordi and the entire housekeeping crew. We came and stayed during a very stressful time and you went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. We will always remember you and appreciate you. Best regards. The Garcias.

We had a fantastic stay at Chambers. The staff were incredibly helpful, the whole place was impeccably clean, we had access to good facilities and any extra toiletries/coffee etc that we might need during our stay. And in a great location for exploring New York. Highly recommended!
