This is the third hotel I've tried in this area within the past year, and I would choose this one again over the others. The location is great, and very close to multiple train lines. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The free breakfast is a huge plus, as it is a substantial breakfast. Free happy hour too, with good snacks and desserts. The lobby is lovely for sitting in, and waiting for others. When I was there the elevators were a bit slow, as it seemed that not all were working. The rooms are very nicely sized for NYC, and include a bathrobe and slippers. My only issue was that this is a building that either is hot air or cold air, and the hotel controls it. You can try to adjust the thermostat, but I don't think it really does anything. It was in the 40's and 50's, and my room was so warm that I had the window open the entire time, with the heat/ac/fan turned off. But they brought a fan up to my room. I was comfortable, - because it was in the 40's outside. I would not stay here in the late fall or early spring when there can be a surprise hot spell, but the hotel would still be in heating mode. And the fitted sheet was just a little too small for the bed, to the point that it starts to creep undone and you have to keep yanking it and tucking it back under. Despite that, I would stay here again.

The Westhouse is well-appointed. We stayed in between Christmas and New Years. The room was spacious and the staff were helpful (during the day) and breakfast was appreciated. The umbrellas were also a treat. The maid staff was also excellent. My only downside was the location was a little ehh and close to Times Square which I didn't realize. We arrived late and asked for a blanket for the pull-out couch which never came after 3/4 calls. And although the breakfast was good, the visitors were sometimes rude and lacked etiquette. So much so that we ended up walking to a cafe bagel place down on the corner. Like for instance every table was full and all these foreign tourists who were done with their meal just stared at us. No consideration even the staff was irritated. Besides that we had a lovely visit.

Great place to stay! Sonia was absolutely phenomenal. She was one of the friendliest people we ever met. First class service and made us smile every morning for breakfast and evening for happy hour events. Will definitely be back! Thank you Sonia!! Mike

I really enjoyed this place. It almost feels like an all inclusive resort because you receive breakfast and “tapas” which is more like a dinner buffet! The staff is super friendly, especially Sonia! She was fantastic and made our stay extra special! Highly recommend!

I had high expectations for my stay at this Hilton property, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment and not worth the money. From the beginning, it was clear that the staff had no understanding of Hilton policies or basic hospitality. Despite hours of calls and multiple emails with Hilton representatives before my stay, every effort I made to ensure a smooth visit was ignored. When I arrived, the room I was assigned lacked basic amenities—no robes, slippers, or even towels. To make matters worse, my one simple request for a quiet room was completely overlooked. Instead, we were placed in a corner surrounded by three other rooms inches away from ours, with constant traffic that made it impossible to get any rest. If you're considering this property, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The Dream across the street or the Thompson Central Park offers far better service and value for your money. For the price they’re asking here, you can expect much more elsewhere. Hilton needs to take a hard look at this property—it’s doing serious damage to the brand’s reputation.
