This is a fantastic hotel in a perfect location. We came in to NYC to visit friends who were visiting from overseas. We were traveling with our two kids, ages 7 and 11, and had one of the suites. The suite was large and comfortable, particularly for a Manhattan hotel. Everything about the stay was wonderful and the Hotel Seville Nomad will be a regular stay for us going forward when we visit Manhattan.

we had a lovely family vacation to New York City for Thanksgiving. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was gorgeous and clean. We had beautiful views from our windows. The staff was so helpful, providing our two rooms to be in close proximity to each other, Leaving bags for a check out and check in, bring us up jugs of ice cold water whenever we asked. Even detailing our room when I accidentally knocked a glass off the table. Everyone is so friendly, providing us with smiles and well wishes, and even cracking jokes with great New York charm. Can’t wait to return

The A/C and Heater did not work in my room. I had to open the window for some air circulation. The thermostat says it’s working, but there’s no real effect on the room even though the room is very small. I understand that the rooms in Manhattan are small, but a working air conditioning is something basic to expect

We had high hopes for this hotel, and the suite we had, for which we used a Globalist Suite upgrade, was comfortable--but in need a serious refurbishment. There were stains on the window sill, the carpet was worn, and the bathroom was tiny. It didn't match the pictures of the suites on the web site. In any case, there were two other major problems--the quality of the breakfast food was not great. The menu was, as well, far too small--there were no options, for example, to just order bacon and eggs. The elevators were worn and sometimes got stuck, and the staff, while pleasant, could not seem to get Globalist amenities right without being asked--and more than once at that. It is well-located, and the suites are large, but we will not be back again. For the price, it was fine. But if we had paid any more, we'd have felt that we paid too much for what we received.

I loved the vibe when it was the James but the transition to the Hyatt didn’t seek to add anything to the location (old carpets and fraying floorboards not replaced), the $45/day destination fee just felt like an up charge - no robes or slippers in the room and the towels used felt cheap. Windows not double paned and the 7th floor was quite loud. The location is great and the staff were nice.
