A Horrible Resort Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

For starters, we were assigned to a building that had rooms with severely worn/stained furniture. The mattresses on the beds were badly worn. During the presentation, we were told that we could be moved immediately if we purchased a membership. In addition, the remodeled buildings were for club members only. Secondly, we a had a flood in our bedroom one of the nights from water coming in through the ceiling. We had to be moved the following day and received no compensation for time lost at the resort. Thirdly, we also had a second incident of water leaking into the master bath from the A/C that also flooded the floor. The cleaning and maintenance personnel, and the beach servers were exceptional; however, the management team who handled our complaint were less than concerned about accommodating or compensating us for our inconveniences. We have been to several resorts over the years, and this has been the worst. We will never return or recommend this resort to anyone.

Cosy and beautiful beach

First I would like to say how heartbreaking it is to see a beautiful wild animal such as a tiger in captivity, it just lies in one spot with nowhere to roam, from what I could tell, guests were not impressed, why would this company put a wild animal in such a small space? The two bedroom unit we had was very nice and spotlessly clean, certainly not luxurious. It is the first timeshare which is gold crown that I have stayed in where they give you a sponge in the kitchen no paper towels and no dishwashing detergent, whilst all the pots and pans looked shiny and clean I wondered if the maid had used just water to clean them from the previous person. The staff are all great but I thought that the waiters on the beach did not look pristine, they worked really hard. After the first order of lunch on the beach which I did not eat, I did not order more food, we went next door to the mall to eat for breakfast and to the wonderful restaurants nearby for dinner. The location is excellent, with a taxi stand right outside the door, very convenient to the best restaurants, Would I return, yes, for the fabulous beach and location, but please put the tiger back where it belongs

Always a good experience

We've been coming here for years. We always enjoy the resort, staff are excellent, groups are beautiful and extremely well maintained. Resort is quite accessible if you have mobility issues. Local restaurants are always good, having the mall close by is very handy

Paradise Village in December is not to be missed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent 12/10-12/17 at Paradise Village. It was our 4th visit. We made great memories, the weather was perfect and a good time was had by all. Highlights of our trip was the incredible service provide by Blanca at Copa and Pedro on the beach at the Palapas. They both made our trip even more special with their excellent service. We sought them out everyday, they are so kind and attentive and such hard workers. Copa and the Palapas really bring out the best things about Paradise Village. We can't wait to go back next year!

Disappointed and not returning

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Total scam. Lost $500 on “discount” activities and probably our identity. Asked for personal information and had us sign documents saying we did NOT purchase a time share. Do not talk to anyone at the airport about this place or go there. Do not give them any personal information or credit cards for any reason.
