Family vacation

Stayed at Paradise village for a couple weeks and had a wonderful experience. Dinner at the Mayapan restaurant was delicious and service from Valerio was exceptional. Highly recommend Paradise Village for a couple’s or family vacation.

Front desk

Terrible service at the front desk for checking in the resort. Before they see our ID, receptionist said “No room available, you only can stay 1st floor’. It’s been happening 3 visits in a roll. And we have to negotiate with them. At the same time other people have higher floor to check in left and right in front of our face while we’re “negotiating “. At the end of the day, receptionists say “we have to keep higher room for other people “ even though they won’t check in for another few more day. They prioritize other people over us for some reason. This is not acceptable behavior and we’ve been requesting higher room both online and via phone call but they’ve never listened and almost forced us to stay in 1st floor. This kind of customer service is beyond unacceptable and we take it as discrimination and harassment, abuse of power to loyal members like us.

Fantastic evening at the Copan Sky Bar at Paradise Village

Outstanding service and fantastic food! View of the sunset was amazing. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Fish and chips were so good! If you go to Paradise Village, do yourself a favor and make reservations at the Copan Sunset Sky Bar. You won’t regret it. Highly recommend!

Nice resort, friendly staff, great vacation

We stayed in a superior double room, and the room was overall very nice, updated, clean, and comfortable - the only issue was the construction right beside us. The construction hours were reasonable, and the noise didn't bother us inside, but it made the balcony pretty much unusable during the day. We have little kids, so some dish soap and paper towels would have been helpful to wash personal items and clean up messes. The buffet was ok for breakfast, but I thought for a 4-star resort, the food selection and quality at dinner was disappointing. The Kaybal snack bar had great pizza, chicken nuggets, and wings, so that's where we ate our lunch. Our dinner at Mayapan was good, but the food took 70+ min from when we ordered to when it arrived at our table - we had planned for 2 hrs for dinner, and ultimately had to inhale our food to get back in time to relieve the babysitter. The food experiences are what drop this review from 5-star to 4-star. The pool is heated to a lovely temperature, and the resort attempts to discourage chair saving, which I definitely appreciate - we had no trouble finding 3-4 chairs together at 10/11am. The Radio Paradise is annoying - please just play music at a reasonable volume and cut the talking before Every. Single. Song. Would love some more little-kid amenities - splash pad, smaller waterslide. The concierge was extremely helpful and accommodating. We did arrange babysitting services through the resort (our kids are too young for kids club), and the ladies they provided for us were excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back, but probably not until our kids are all 5+ years old - this resort doesn't really cater to younger kids than that.

Enjoy the resort

Had a wonderful time at this resort. We went to the Kabah Japanese restaurant and the food was very good. Our waiter, Sebastian, recommended dishes and they didn't disappoint. The beach area is spacious and the palapas are numerous. They do their best to accommodate different tastes.
