We are lucky to have booked this place as a Luminous member hence came with the perks such as welcoming package (fruits), free breakfast and nice room etc. The location is perfect for just a relaxing stay and the view is fantastic. The breakfast options are abundant and the room is comfortable and clean. Some of the reviewers mentioned that the place is outdated which is truly but I don’t think it impacts their operations efficiency.

My arrival at the front desk was highlighted by the warm and wonderful welcome at check in. The front desk team represented the JW Marriott values of excellence and putting people first on a high level of customer service. Sumaya, Julissa, Leonardo, Juan and Jose made me feel like a special VIP and welcomed family member at the same time. I did not have to request anything, it was like they had anticipated my need to be "wowed" after a disappointing experience the previous night at another 5 star hotel. The room that was assigned to me was immaculate with a fantastic view. The bed was comfortable and plushy. The turn down service was just what I needed after a long day of business meetings. I am confident that the Dream Team that checked me in had a hand in that magic. My check out was just as fabulous as my departure. It was nice to bid adieu to the same friendly faces that welcomed me when I arrived. Kudos JW Marriott Panama!

Our stay at the JW Marriott was fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. The accommodations were lovely and the amenities were great. The best part of our stay was the super staff. Ms. Elisa was so attentive and kind. She arranged for a special birthday celebration for my husband that simply made his day! She noticed that I enjoyed the rice so she had the chef whip up a special dish for me. The next day she even brought me a box of the flavor seasonings to take home! How great is that! If you are looking for a place to stay when you visit Panama, look no further. You've found your place here.

Beautiful pool and Amelio was the best server! We enjoyed mornings by the pool drinking the most delicious coffee. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The facilities are beautiful. We’ll be back some day.

We cut short our stay because of poor service: Upon check in, I noticed little things which ought to be taken care of by the hotel to make our stay either make or break. (1) the table clock is at 6 pm when it is supposed to be 9 pm. Little things matter. I adjusted the time accordingly. (2) there are no room slippers until I called for them. These should have been taken care of without having the guests ask for them. Little things matter. (3) Being a Titanium member, I am given complementary breakfast ONLY in the Executive Lounge but I would have to pay for breakfast if I were to eat at other restaurants serving breakfast, a practice which is never done in all my previous stays with the Marriott. (4) The food in the Executive Lounge is less than ideal, all western items without any Panamanian selections. (5)There are too many elevators in the hotel that are just simply confusing. From the entrance to the hotel, I have to take an elevator to the SL (whatever that means) floor for check in and then another set of elevators to get to my room. (6) phone calls from the room to the receptionist are seldom answered. (7) the layout for the sea view room is unusually funny with a tub taking a major space in the room. (8) many of the staff don’t speak or understand English adequately enough to serve the guests. (9) Having said the above, there are 3 staff members worthy of commendation for their kindness and effort in trying their best to please within the constraints of the hotel policy: Ingrid and Gustavo at the front desk and Jose Axel.
