Extraordinary location, but not really worth the money to begin with. Staff were very nice, helped me with the upgrade. Minor issue: The safe didn't work, which was a minor thing. Main issue: In the middle of the night water started falling from the ceiling - some leak in the air conditioner or somethin like that. Not the best experience for a 5-star hotel. It also looked like it wasn't the first time it happened (there was clear cutout in drywall where they accessed it before). My main issue is that no one really offered any "compensation" and apologies for that experience. Just a card or an e-mail would do, or I don't know a bottle of champagne to show that they care. I got nothing and I think it's unacceptable for a 5-star hotel.

I am genuinely baffled by the experience we had during our eight-day stay at the Marriott Champs-Élysées. It’s hard to believe this establishment presents itself as a five-star hotel when our experience felt more akin to a budget motel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a chaotic scene involving a large group of 25 guests who had taken over the seventh floor. They set up a makeshift dining area in front of the elevator, which quickly became a hub of noise and disorder. Whether it was 11 AM or 11 PM, the sight of open doors with food displayed in the hallway was a constant reminder of the lack of decorum. It felt less like a luxury hotel and more like a frat house, with people sitting around, eating, and chatting, completely monopolizing the common area. We had booked a terrace room, eagerly anticipating a pleasant retreat. However, the reality was far from our expectations. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable that we avoided the hotel’s amenities altogether, including the free breakfast. Our routine quickly became leaving early and returning late just to find some peace in our room. Despite multiple requests for a room change, we were told no upgrades were available, and terrace rooms were solely on the seventh floor. As a Platinum Elite member with over a decade of loyalty to Marriott, this was the first time I experienced such a dismal situation in a supposed five-star property. If this were a Courtyard by Marriott, I might have understood the lack of standards, but allowing such a large group to cook and eat in the hallway—while keeping their doors open at all hours—was simply unacceptable. Overall, my experience at the Marriott Champs-Élysées was deeply disappointing. The hotel failed to provide the comfort and tranquility one expects from a luxury stay, and I left feeling disgusted rather than rejuvenated. I can only hope this feedback prompts necessary changes for future guests.

The location of this hotel cannot be beaten, in our opiinion. Right on the Champs Elysees , within walking distance of everything. Very chic and elegant. The whole hotel is very well maintained and decorated. The staff were all courteous , pleasant and helpful. One server (Anna?) at breakfast in particular was a real keeper. So charming. Our platinum status was recognized and we were upgraded to a large, beautiful and modern room on a high floor with a balcony overlooking the street. What a view!! We would rate the hotel five stars except for the uncomfortable mattress our particular room, whiich was strangely a “Murphy bed” pulled down from the wall.

Just returned from a 4 night stay with our 4 adult children...Needless to say we had 2 larger rooms and paid the price. The hotel is far from 5 stars in that the rooms are clean and sterile, we could have been in NYC for all we knew, nothing in the rooms reminds you that this is Paris. The staff was rude at best. One friendly conceirge and one super nice female server at breakfast but everyone else could care less we were there. The topper on the cake was when we extended our 2 rooms for en extra night and the hotel clerk told me that is would be one million bonvoy points to do so...When I questioned it, because I had already looked online, he rudely told me " we are very expensive here". I showed him my phone and he suddenly became very quiet, gave me the rate online and turned away. Very sad as it was a surprise trip for my husband and the reception at the hotel all the way down to the doormen was rude. Not an inviting Paris hotel for sure...

I read the reviews before going and thought those criticizing the staff were exaggerating. They were not. Staff is at best inattentive, at worst borderline rude. At breakfast the waiter almost threw the bill at me without saying a word. Breakfast by the way is ultra simple (Hilton Garden Inn type) and they charge 50 euros for it. For a bottle of evian I paid 12 euros. The shower has no pressure. Other than that the rooms that have been renovated are ok. You pay only for the location, don’t expect to get any other value for your money at this hotel.
