We reserved rooms for a baseball tournament in the area. Part of the agreement was if the tournament gets canceled/moved we can cancel our reservations. Tournament got moved and it took all day talking to multiple people to get reservations cancelled. Miserable customer service.

I am giving 3 stars simply because the condo in lakeside was lovely! Very clean, nicely decorated and large kitchen. Only complaint for the unit 68A is the shower head in the main bathroom downstairs is weak and the king bed upstairs needs a new mattress. Now as for as the resort, pool was closed by HOA and never opened. Was told to use Summer House pool. It was dirty, lazy river not working and kids area broken for most of our stay. We were not allowed to use any other pools in the resort., except for the indoor pool. Resort over all needs to make many repairs and doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to get things done. We had made this reservation months ago, however we too came down after hurricane Helene expecting a better experience.

So awful. Coming to escape hurricane Helene. No soap, conditioner or lotion. I was told to pickup at front desk Got here at 3... made us wait until 4. Then get a shoddy room Wish I had booked any where else. I had soap at home and shampoo. For $800 they could afford soup for the shower Worst hurricane ever and get treated like dirt shame on them.

This review is actually for our trip in 2021. I wanted to give this now as a pre-cursor to my most recent visit which I will present after this. My wife and I stayed in the Bridgewater three years ago in room 209. Our experience was great. We were there in the middle of September when all of the kids are in school. It was very quiet and relaxing. When we were there, everything worked perfectly. Sure the AC units were a bit noisy, but they were the same as almost every other motel in the country. It was expected. The view from the balcony was excellent. We loved the access to the pool, lazy river, hot tub, and beach, all within a short walk. The galley kitchen was a bit small, but useful. It was what was expected from something called a galley kitchen. Overall, it is a great property. We look forward to our 2025 visit. My wife and I just returned from our second visit, in the Seaside Inn property. The name is not descriptive. That review will get less than one star. Look later for it. When reserving, make sure to ask to talk to someone actually on the property that knows the property and specifically ask for the Bridgewater. Whoever takes their reservations SUCK at it and their "confirmation" emails confirm nothing more than the dates. That was the problem with our second visit. See my other review of the Litchfield beach property. The first time there was great. Despite our second visit sucking, we have reservations in the Bridgewater for next September. We hope the next time duplicates the first visit.

Spent 5 nights there in a flat by the pool and it was very nice. Room service was only towels and trash each day unless you request beds made. Which we didn’t mind. Great amenities and staff. We plan to return as soon as we can. Great atmosphere for families too!

"The four nights we spent at the Litchfield Plantation in Pauley's Island, S.C. were wonderful! We had unique accommodations on beautiful grounds in a very special and historical area, and received warm greetings, beautiful accommodations, and delicious meals."

“We took our trip to Litchfield Plantation May 4th through May 9th and had a fabulous time. The Plantation is beautiful! We stayed in a villa complete with jacuzzi and hot tub and had the whole place to ourselves! The food at the Carriage House was wonderful and we enjoyed every meal. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive, especially the Manager, Greg. We spent a few hours at the gorgeous, enormous pool and several days at the Beach House (beautiful beach).
Thank you, Luxury Link.”

My mother and I were at Litchfield Plantation during May, 2004. It was the loveliest place we have ever stayed, with wonderful accommodations, excellent service, and unbelievable food! I highly recommend Litchfield Plantation for a fabulous getaway.
