Outstanding resort! This was our second time and the improvements made since our last visit were amazing. The menu breakfast now served at Ostra was the best - so much more enjoyable than a buffet. Coffee “shop” was a hit and a better use of space than the former gift shop! The addition of the pool at the private beach was also a plus. Nothing to complain about at all at this resort. Service is beyond at the spa, pools and restaurants. And a must do are the classes offered!! We did the barista class, sound bath healing, cooking class and mixology class. Class sizes are small so these are wonderful, personalized activities with exceptional teachers that you would expect at a world class resort. Think “Miraval” type experiences that should not be missed! Can’t wait to return again to this amazing place in this beautiful country!

We LOVE the Andaz Papagayo. Just returned yesterday for our third visit to the resort and always come away refreshed and amazed at the hospitality. It will likely be an annual pilgrimage for us. On this visit we were upgraded to an Andaz Suite and loved having the additional room to spread out. Our suite was near the adult pool, which we enjoyed. There are a couple of new additions since our last visit. First, Ostra now serves a special breakfast for Globalists. It was awesome. Really creative menu and enjoyed the setting more than Rio Bhongo -- although we love that restaurant too! Also, they've added a pool to the beach at the off-site beach. It's a wonderful addition and makes the beach an even more enjoyable place to spend time. Service from top to bottom is top-notch. Everyone is incredibly gracious and kind. Special thanks to Patrick Schori, GM of the property, for all of his help. We also had a great conversation with Mayur Maharaj, the Director of F&B at the Andaz Papagayo. Absolute A+

Stunning property! We felt as if we were staying in an upscale tree house with holler monkeys as our alarm clock! Such an incredible vibe. The staff is great and the views are fabulous. There were no issues finding a place to get a chair by the pool. The cocktails and coffee were wonderful, and the breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a Hyatt Property.

Everybody was so friendly! All members of the staff from the concierge to housekeeping, they always greeted or acknowledged us. We loved our room. From the comfortable king bed to the romantic shower to the balcony, it was spacious and clean. This is NOT a cheap resort and you should know that going in during booking. Food and beverages are pretty pricey, so plan accordingly during your stay. But keep in mind, this is a 5 star resort and not a chain hotel. Having two pool areas is nice and gave us options to how and where we wanted to spend our afternoons. The beach area is not "walkable" as you either have to be shuttled over by van or by boat (approx 5 mins), but a nice, clean beach with a restaurant owned by the resort. We traveled for business, but stayed an extra 2 days for vacation time. I would absolutely recommend Andaz Resort to a friend that wanted to pay up for a nice place!
