Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket

Wonderful hotel. Amazons peace och beautiful Beach. Ripples pool for adults only is the most relaxing experience I had ever. Breakfast is good and service is excellent.

Breakfast buffet was mediocre, nothing to look forward to. Selection was basic, local food was minimal. Food at several hot-stations were stale and cold. We also ordered the ala-carte menu for lunch twice - one western meal and one local thai meal. The western meal included seafood pizza, bolognese pasta and calamari. All of them were hot when served and taste pretty good. Price was reasonable considering it is a resort. The Thai food on the other hand, was horrendous. I would have expected quality Thai food from a resort in Thailand, and for a premium price as well. We had 3 appetisers and a curry noodle. The appetisers were cold and tough and the quantity was shocking for the price. 950 baht for 3 tiny flat pieces of fish cake, 3 dry beef sticks, and 3 small sized prawns. The curry noodle was soggy and the curry could barely cover the surface of the little bit of noodles. please avoid the Thai food there at all costs. We also paid additional for club access as we liked the privacy and all-day snacks. The facility was dated and food selection was minimal but it enough. Only complaint is with 2 staff there. During our visits, we met 4 staff - usually 2 in the morning shift and 2 in the afternoon-night shift. The 2 in the morning shift were attentive, friendly, and approachable. However the 2 in the later shift were unwelcoming, rude, and showed no interest in making our visit pleasant. Unfortunately I did not get their names but it was a slightly older lady and a younger lady with blonde hair. Their attitude were nasty and it was as if they were demanding of us when they spoke to us. She spoke with much unhappiness when informing me that I had the “do-not-disturb” sign on when they had wanted to deliver a welcome basket to our room. I then explained to her that my toddler was asleep at the time, to which she showed no interest in following up the conversation and only questioned if they can deliver the basket now (it was 9pm). There was also no one in the club lounge at the time. My toddler was a little noisy as children are but I did not correct him as we were not disturbing any other guests. His volume was also acceptable, not shouting or screaming. He was simply being a child. The older lady shouted at me “MADAM!!!” and simply pointed to the quiet sign. It was exceptionally rude and uncalled for. Because of this experience, I highly discourage everyone from paying additional for club access. We have had experience with club access in several other hotels and this one was the worst by far. Also, the 2 wonderful staff who served us in the morning deserves more rewards and recognition than those in the later shift. I hope the hotel recognises this. The beach and pool were great for young kids. Beach was clean and the sand was soft. The pools were suitable for kids too. My son had a blast. The kids club was a little dated and dirty because they allow guests who just finished a swim/beach visit to enter the play area. But there is a variety of toys to entertain young ones. I wish they turned off the tv for parents who do not want screen time for younger ones.

Everything was fine. The beach was wonderfully beautiful. The lazy river which I believe is the main advantage of this hotel was great. The Hotel Landscape was perfect. It is really a piece of heaven fallen from the sky. Thank you Grand Centara Phuket

It is a most relaxing resort for the family and I would return once again with my grandchildren next time.

Great hotel, fantastic room and facilities. We would definitely recommend this hotel and come again. The only negative thing about this hotel is the high pool bar prices.
