Grand Residences Riviera Cancun

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun at Puerto Morelos, Mexico is at the top of my list of places to stay in Mexico and Central America. Location - it's a 30 minute ride from Cancun International Airport. It has its own private beach. On one side is a resort. On the other side is open space with views of Carmen del Playa in the distance. For walkers and bicyclers, getting to Puerto Morelos is do-able. The town with shops, restaurants and ice cream is a short taxi ride. The resort is compact for those with mobility issues but golf carts are available to assist in getting around. There are plenty of elevators. The rooms are clean, well laid out, typically serviced twice a day. A variety of menus enhance the dining experience. Breakfasts can be buffet or menu. Meals include fresh fruits and vegetables along with views of the swimming pools which include adult, children's and family areas. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. Visit with concierge staff to get help with any questions and navigating the area. There is a fun, staffed, indoor play area for younger children and area activities for the entire family. Poolside, many afternoons there is bingo which draws a crowd. If safety is a concern, there are at least three layers of unobtrusive security to enhance your stay. My only real downsides are the seemingly love affair Mexico has with speed bumps and figuring the dollar-peso conversion. In short, Grand Residences at Puerto Morelos ticks my list of places to stay.

We recently returned from our 3rd stay at the Grand Residences, and like our other stays, everything was perfect. Carin, our concierge, was so attentive, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff that serviced our room twice daily were incredible. We never had a bad meal whether we dined in one of the restaurants or ordered room service. The staff at the pool were friendly and the service was excellent. It's always so nice to see the same faces year after year, Ephrain, Chez, at the pool, Modesto at either Heaven or the pool bar. We are already looking forward to our next stay!!!

We were absolutely pampered the entire week. The rooms were absolutely fabulous. The resort is spotless and the staff are great. The lack of nighttime entertainment was somewhat disappointing for us but if you're looking for a nice quiet resort, this is incredible.

The accommodations in our two bedroom suite were first class in every respect. Housekeeping staff were courteous and efficient. They serviced the room both morning and evening. We were on the all inclusive plan and our meals had variety and were well prepared. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive. Appreciated their reservation system for beach umbrellas where you knew to reserve the day before. Again, beach staff friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough good things about our concierge, Lisa. From the moment we checked in until our departure Lisa went out of her way to make sure we had the dining reservations and spa reservations we wanted and answer any questions we had about the facilities. She took a genuine interest in our comfort and it really added to our experience.

This was my wife and I fourth time visiting Grand Residence and we live it. The food, service, and rooms were excellent as always! We love staying in a Master Suite with a private pool and jacuzzi. The all inclusive package includes room service which is worthwhile for days when you do not want to leave your suite.
