Empire Palace Hotel

First impressions were very good especially the room which was a suite. Would say more a 3 star as the towel rail in the bathroom fell apart and within the first hour in the room the door handle fell off the bedroom door. Not enough plugs especially in the lounge area by the bed settee. Took my own mug as I had read on previous comments the hotel only provides paper cups. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice from cooked to pastries and cereals. Had a drink in the courtyard in the evenings with friendly staff and the free nibbles were a nice touch. Reception always happy to ring a taxi when needed as did find the hotel slightly too far from the main attractions. A few nice restaurants near the hotel which saved the walk into the centre again in the evening after a long day seeing the sights. Overall a nice hotel but for us a bit too far out.

Hotel is a typical Italian hotel. Would not rate as a 4 star hotel. Rooms are tired and need updating . Providing no glasses in the rooms but paper cups to have a glass of wine in your room and paper cups to have tea & coffee in room . No milk provided to have with your cup of tea or coffee . I asked for mugs & glasses told to go to the restaurant but the man would not let me have any telling me there was an event on and they was for them . This event went on for the days we stayed and seemed to take over the hotel stating guest . Breakfast was plenty full with lots of choice . Staff on reception lovely shame the man in the restaurant let the team down by being so rude when I tried to borrow just two cups and glasses . Would I return to this hotel No .

The hotel is situated in a very nice old villa within walking distance from many bus lines. The breakfast is top notch for Italy. Cleaning done every day. Small bathroom. They provide toiletries and slippers on demand. Overall a nice stay and I would visit it again.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful from the get go, the rooms although dated have everything you need for a comfortable stay , including robes and slippers! We slept great here , very quiet , good air conditioning and very comfy pillows. The breakfast was tasty and they had a very good selection and again the staff at breakfast were so cheerful and friendly. It’s also in good walking distance to local restaurants and the main landmarks. I’ve had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend to others having a short city break in Rome.

From the moment you entered the hotel you were welcomed and made feel at home. Location was excellent, a short walk from the Repblica Metro stop. We were a party of 3 - Mum, Dad & daughter. We had a room with 2 double beds which was clean and more than adequate for our needs - we weee gone all day and just needed a bed to sleep on. Reception staff were friendly and most helpful, special mention to Tania for all the advice & suggestions. Breakfast was very good every morning with a good choice. The terrace area was a lovely chilled out and relaxing area for food or an after dinner drink. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. Lovely stay and very enjoyable, well done Empire Palace & staff.
