We stayed at St. James club February of 2022. I’ll start with the bad. Poor housekeeping! House keepers only came one time in the eight days we stayed. We had to use dirty towels. We called to get new towels. They put new towels on our bed and never took all the old ones. Our bathroom window did not close or lock. This is a safety issue. Our balcony door did not close or lock. Food was okay at best. 90 percent of the employees acted like we were an inconvenience. The entire place was very outdated. Spotty WiFi. The good: The upper pool had gorgeous views. The Joy tour boat tour is a must. The guys were awesome. The water sports here were fun. Nightly entertainment was fun. Overall property was nice. This entire place needs to be demolished and rebuilt with modern technology. It was so outdated. All new employees would be nice as well.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel paid a lot of money to be there. Upon arrival I was greeted with a receptionist who treated us like we was something on the bottom of her shoe. But most importantly the DUTY manager, not the manager Alvin Charles was by far the worst human being I have ever encountered. I have travelled a lot of the Caribbean and everyone is lovely this one man has made me never want to go back to St Lucia. Absolutely no manners no respect and absolutely no customer service. An all round terrible person. This hotel had double booked our room and kicked us out the hotel. We was forced to leave by force all the while my partner was having multiple panic attack’s. Alvin Charles stood over her tapping his watch telling us we had 20 minutes to pack all of our stuff and leave immediately. With around 4 security staff. I can’t explain how awful out experience was in words. All I can recommend is that no one stays here. Especially the fact that Alvin Charles works here. What a disgrace. Do however stay at the windjammer where we stayed and also tiu kaye amazing places and lovely staff. St James club is an awful place with awful staff stay away. They will not think twice about taking your money like they did mine.

Won a trip from work. The pool areas and staff are awesome, rooms were great. The only issue I had was there are many food options after certain times of the day. They also have just a small gift shop. They definitely need more options.

The staff were amazing and would always go out of their way to help. Some of the rooms were a bit dated but they were renovating. We saw another section which had great modern rooms; they gave us a room to shower after we had checked out which was so hospitable. The only slight negative was that the food got a tad repetitive during our 10 day stay. We did do a trip with Joy Travels through the hotel and it was Fantastic!!!! One of the best days of our trip. They took care of us and seeing the other sights

My family had a short Easter stay at St. James. It was our first time here and it was well worth it. We landed in the George F.L. Charles Airport (the older/regional airport) and the hotel was around a ten minute drive from same so it was primely located for us. If you are travelling from Hewanorra International Airport however, you are looking at over an hour drive to get to the hotel. Nonetheless, we found that the food was generally lovely, great variety of foods and we appreciated the local fruits (mangoes/bananas) and food (salt fish/breadfruit/green fig) that were served. Shout out to Bob/Alph at the water sports area, both of whom were also friendly and accommodating in addition to Thomasia and Hermanda for their hospitality at the Palms restaurant/cafe. Our room was also close to all amenities and from the looks of it, the bathroom and flooring were updated. We had no problems with the air conditioning/hot water. The beach is amazing, always calm, albeit not your typical white sand beach, the water was always refreshing. The cons I would say involved; a long wait time in particular at the seafood restaurant (which had the best food in my opinion), we found that the service at the bar was sub-par with unfriendly bartenders, front desk could also be friendlier, the Grill shack (my word)...the food was burnt (many times that we tried it) and the reception was always unfriendly there. Notwithstanding, better management/staffing, more restaurants opening on a nightly basis to ease the wait times, greater variety of food options available during the day (between breakfast - lunch and then again between lunch-dinner), together with a better variety of drinks at the bar would make this hotel close to perfection. We still look forward to returning once re-opened.
