The Crane Resort

Just arrived at The Crane. Up this morning at 3.30am for my Virgin Atlantic flight which was 5*. Arrived at The Crane at 1.30pm lunch time hot and tired to be told room available from 4pm. I had emailed 6 weeks prior to request a ground floor room due to mobility issues. I was allocated a room on the 3rd floor, Currently waiting in reception - 1 hour so far - no communication - poorest check in I have ever experienced. Not a positive experience so far!

Staff were lovely and tried their best to accommodate but it is mismanaged. The grounds are pretty but the pool area is in need of major updating for a four star hotel. Astonishingly there was not one towel or staff manning the towel hut on any day during our five night visit. Having towels available at a pool/beach resort is the most basic amenity! Crane beach itself was unusable due to seaweed so every morning we had to wait for a shuttle to transport us about 30 min to a beach on the other side of the island. You had to sign up for the shuttle the night before and it departed at 10 am. There was no sign notifying guests so if you didn’t know about it, you’d miss out. On one occasion I was told that the shuttle was “full” but after voicing my frustration they found room for us. If you want to do an excursion from the hotel the taxis are astronomically expensive since the Crane is so far from all of the action on the other side of the island. Our suite at the Crane was perfect for our family of five as everyone had a bed, two full bathrooms and a deck for extra space overlooking ocean. We had a fine stay but my recommendation is to find another hotel on the other side of the island.

This resort is in a poor state of repair in the middle of nowhere - crane beach is windswept and not suitable for kids with seaweed and waves. The resort needs some serious investment there was also loads of building work going on and the food was poor and overpriced

My Husband and I visited Hiltons The Crane Resort. The Resort location is most Wonderful, pleasant and we Enjoyed every bit of the site. We felt safe, Comfortable and as if we were in a Private Community. The location, amenities, on site restaurants and stores were Great and Convenient. We definitely want to give a Huge Shout out and Thank you to the Ladies in the Transportation dept and Concierge. Ms. Donna, Joan and Chautie. These ladies treated Us Like Family, they were also very friendly, professional and Fun to chat with. We will definitely plan to Visit again xoxo.

My stay at The Crane resort was AWESOME. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and engaging. The staff that REALLY made this stay super amazing was Anthony, Oneca, Crystal, Karen, Erroll, Donna, Lajae and Shelton. I highly recommend staying here!
