The Westgate Hotel

This hotel was great! I traveled here for a conference and found this hotel on Bookings app. Very clean and amazing staff. Meli helped me with the check-in and explained all the amenities of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in San Diego.

My wife and I stayed here a few days celebrating our anniversary. The Westgate is our go-to SD hotel. Great location with easy access to downtown. Excellent, friendly service, good prices, clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. You won't go wrong staying at the Westgate.

Every time we travel to San Diego, California, we choose to stay at The Westgate Hotel because of the beautiful French architecture and ambiance. Everything is so magical from the moment we stepped in to the hotel lobby, the restaurant, the rooms. The food is delicious. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are the fluffiest I have ever felt, in addition, the rooms are very clean. I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at the Westgate Hotel in the magical lobby listening to the artist playing the harp live. The staff always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make our stay an unforgettable experience. We would like to acknowledge the following staff members who made a great impact during our visit they are Sarah C, Sonny, Ivan, Mikey, Rahul, Keanna, David, Lucas, Annamarie, Gabriel and Brandon. We have many hotel options to choose from when staying in San Diego but the genuine attention from staff such as those mentioned above keep us loyal guests. Thank you!

The Westgate Hotel is a majestic hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego! I’d like to praise in particular one of their sales representatives, Sarah Contreras, who helped my partner and I obtain one of the nicest suites in the hotel for a small Thanksgiving dinner. We stayed in the governor’s suite, one of the largest accommodations in the hotel. Everything magical from the moment we stepped in to our room. It was like something out of bridgerton! The Suite was clean and filled very French period looking pieces! We were then surprised by one of the servers, Stephanie, who delivered us a very nice amenity with a personalized note from the hotel manager. It was a very kind and generous gesture that we didn’t expect at all. All in all the hotel is a very unique experience very different from the typical resorts you find in San Diego! Sarah and all the members of the Westgate Team make you feel like you’re royalty! The hotel has very nice lobby filled with the same French or British palace decor. Lots of places for cool instagramable opportunities !. A very nice pool and jacuzzi on the terrace which was perfect to go in before going to bed. We also had the opportunity to dine in their restaurant! Our server Gabriel Munoz went above and beyond. He was so attentive from the moment we were seated! He made our experience feel personalized! He gave us lots of recommendations and the food was amazing! You rarely find this kind of service nowadays! Overall, thanks to Sarah’s and her colleagues, my partner and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits San Diego! If you want a rich royal experience this is the place. No kids running around. And no large tourist crowds. The Westgate Hotel will definitely be my to go to hotel every time I visit San Diego!
