Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

This is our fourth time staying at the Beacon Grand. Staff is amazing, rooms are clean and we love the Starlite lounge on the 21st floor. Can’t wait to visit again in October!

Lovely time in San Francisco - always had a great time overall. Thank you for taking good care of my partner for his birthday. The Starlight Room was fun, but wasn’t the same without the dancing. Hoping to be back next time and there will be!

Good experience overall, classic rooms are small!!! Water temperature and room temperature are regulated, so beware.

What a wonderful experience. The hotel is such a classic. It is within walking distance to restaurants, the trolley and the Muni station, shopping, and there is a Walgreens right across the street for esentials. Alenjandro and the staff were so helpful, answering all of my questions and giving suggestions on places to see and things to do. The hotel also has its own restaurant and a skyline bar, both offering fantastic selections . The room was comfortable and cleaned everyday . Thanks Beacon for a great stay.

The hotel was lovely and glamorous downstairs, and the bar and restaurant were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the hotel let itself down when it came to the rooms. We were particularly disappointed by the lack of sound insulation from the bedroom windows. It genuinely felt as though we were sleeping outside, with construction work, car horns and banging audible at all hours. For a hotel of this standard, and with modern double glazing, I would have expected much better sound insulation. Until this issue is addressed, I would strongly recommend requesting a room towards the inside of the hotel, away from the road, to avoid the noise.
