This hotel was very beautiful and luxurious. The staff was amazing. The rooms were very nice! Location was amazing, lots to do and plenty of shops.

stayed here for 5 nights in may 2026. great location right on powell street, easy access to bart and everything downtown. the rooms are comfortable and the starlite lounge on the 21st floor is a nice touch. special shoutout to dora at the front desk who went above and beyond, genuinely helpful and made the stay feel welcoming. would stay here again.

I want to give a special thank you to Angelo, the doorman at the Beacon Hotel in San Francisco. When I was leaving, he carried my two bags across the street to my Uber without me even asking. I told him I didn’t have any cash to tip him, but that didn’t change his attitude at all. He was still kind, helpful, and professional. That kind of service really stands out. Angelo made a simple moment feel thoughtful, and I truly appreciated it.

I met up with two of my daughters to have a fun weekend in San Francisco. We stayed at the Beacon Grand in Union Square which was a great location. The hotel is beautifully housed in an old building. From the time we arrived every staff member we interacted with was professional, efficient, and friendly. Walking into the hotel was a lovely oasis from the bustle of outside. The amenities were nice too and I highly recommend the Starlite bar on the 21st floor. The views are spectacular and the drinks were great. It's a perfect spot for before or after dinner drinks and discussions. Our room, while a bit on the small side, was perfectly outfitted with everything we needed. In addition it was clean and quiet which are two of the most important things for me when staying at a hotel! I would absolutely stay here again and I definitely recommend it for those looking for a hotel around the Union Square area.
