This is a great classic hotel. We used to go to the Sir Francis Drake Hotel for many years. Glad it has reopened as the Beacon.

My husband and I stayed at the Beacon Grand Hotel in Union Square for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend this perfectly located hotel for an amazing experience. I have to call out the incredible mattress. I slept better than I've had in YEARS and woke up pain free. I am going to find the exact mattress and relive the Beacon Grand experience!

This is a lovely hotel, very clean and has a fridge and coffee maker in the room. The cable car literally stops right outside the hotel which is a plus. Close to the BART just a few minutes walk down the hill. Very good location. Staff were very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean with great amenities. I didn't find the surrounding area to be particularly walkable, but felt safe and had more than I needed inside the grounds.
