Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

Staying at the Beacon Grand was the absolute highlight of our trip to San Francisco! This historic hotel strikes the perfect balance between roaring 1920s art-deco grandeur and sleek, modern comfort and style! Situated right on Powell Street, the iconic cable car literally stops right outside the front door. You are steps away from Union Square, great shopping, and top dining. The hotel offers breathtaking views!! Fantastic food and drinks and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was impeccably clean, remarkably quiet, and featured the most comfortable bed and plush pillows for a great night's sleep.If you want a true, classic San Francisco experience with high-end style and a vibrant atmosphere, look no further. We cannot wait to return!

Perfect located next to tram and Union Square. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Nice crew, perfect rooms, beautiful rooftop-bar

I absolutely loved my stay at the Beacon Grand in San Francisco! This beautiful boutique hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The location is unbeatable—within walking distance of so many of the city’s top attractions, shopping, and dining. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The staff was welcoming, and the entire hotel had a warm, upscale atmosphere. One of the highlights is the rooftop bar—it’s a popular spot for good reason! The ambiance, views, and cocktails made for the perfect way to end the evening. If you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable hotel in the heart of San Francisco, I highly recommend the Beacon Grand. I would definitely stay here again!

Came for the location and atmosphere of the Beacon and it didn't disappoint. The room was a bit small but accommodating. The value is the location by far. Over the weekend it does get a bit noisy on the street but expected. Service was great, even held our luggage while we ventured the city after check out and before flight time. Didn't get to use the amenities but I did walk around and saw the gym and restaurant. Everything seemed to be clean and pleasant. Would stay again because of its location to this side of San Francisco. Came for the San Francisco Marathon on the pier side so it worked out great.

The "upgrade" to this hotel was a Home Depot-quality remodel with a Holiday Inn design. The entire hotel is dusty. Maid service doesn't happen unless you go to the manager and ask for it. This hotel is relatively cheap. You get what you pay for. The Starlite Bar on the top floor is beautiful and the prices are right. You don't have to stay at the hotel to experience the beautiful views, great drinks and bites.
