Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

The Beacon Grand was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at! The room was clean and well stocked. The bed comfortable; I have a hard time sleeping away from home but I slept like a baby. There was a little city noise that came through at night but not enough to bother me. The service was good at the Post Room and the Starlight. The Starlight had me dancing in my seat. Drinks were delicious and reasonably priced at both venues. Snacks were tasty also! The hotel itself is beautiful with classic architecture, chandeliers, and art. The grand staircase is fabulous. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and always quick to help. Its centrally located. Right near Union Square, a couple blocks from Chinatown, and a quick trolly car ride to Fisherman's Wharf.

Perfect location. Comfortable room and bed. Delicious food at Post. And helpful staff. Dora helped make our last day a smooth seamless trip through Little Italy to Fisherman’s Warf/bike rental so we could ride over the GG to Sausalito! And she made sure our cab was scheduled for our ride to the airport in the morning.

Dora was awesome! She even helped us find the correct bus to take to the Haight. Dora and the staff at the Beacon rules!!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay at the Beacon Grand Hotel. I’m much more drawn to boutique hotels with character and charm than typical chain hotels, and the Beacon Grand was exactly what I look for when traveling. The hotel beautifully blends vintage luxury with modern comfort. The velvet furnishings, stunning wallpaper, elegant details, warm lighting, and overall ambiance made the property feel special and memorable. It has a high-end feel without being stuffy or pretentious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Housekeeping was excellent—we returned each day to freshly made beds, clean towels, restocked water, and a spotless room. A must-do is visiting the Starlite rooftop bar. The nighttime views of San Francisco are absolutely spectacular and added to an already wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a hotel with charm, character, and a boutique luxury feel in the heart of San Francisco, I highly recommend the Beacon Grand. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Beacon Grand is a step back in time. The hotel has been beautifully redone. Everything is spotless and brand new. The staff were all super friendly and provided excellent service. We had a few minor issues that were promptly dealt with. Drinks at the Post Room and an evening at the Starlight are a must. Well situated at union square it was walking distance to everything we needed. Will stay here again on my next visit to San Francisco.
