Great stay. Angelo, and Anson were stand outs that made our trip and stay enjoyable. Amazing hotel with great rooms, food, drinks, and staff.

NOT QUIET

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Whilst it had a grand reception, i had to change rooms 3 times. The first room, floor 12, the room was way to small (you would not be able to open a suitcase in it), the second room was on floor 19, which although more spacious was very loud as they have a bar that’s open till 2am on the 21st floor, if you are sensitive to noise it is not suitable as there are very obvious thuds. I was then moved to floor 17, which was not much better, you could still hear the thuds only just a tiny bit quieter. In general the rooms are standard but not sound proof in the slightest (you can hear coughs from next door, city noises etc.).

Great hotel in a good area

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Beautiful hotel. Short walk to transit with a trolley stop right out front. In a very hilly area so walking is a workout so just take the trolley. Very clean hotel and area. zero issues at all. Rooms comfy and well appointed. Bathroom was small but comfortable

Dissapointing experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. When we arrived on July 4, our two reserved rooms were not ready, and we had to wait a long time before we could check in. My parents' room was extremely small, and shortly after they settled in, the bathroom started flooding. To the hotel's credit, they moved my parents to a larger room, which solved that problem. They also offered us complimentary mini breakfasts, and we appreciated that gesture. Unfortunately, the most serious issue happened with housekeeping. Someone opened my suitcase and stole my power strip (surge protector). I never used it during my stay because I didn't need it, so it remained inside my suitcase until it disappeared. This is completely unacceptable and made me feel that my belongings were not safe in the hotel. I expect the hotel to investigate what happened, recover my power strip, and take the necessary steps to ensure that no other guest has the same experience.

Why Trip Advisor

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This hotel is way past its prime. Historic but tired and poorly kept. Has potential but when you see artificial plants in that magnificent lobby……We decided to switch within hours of being there. Not sure why Trip gave it such an endorsement.
