Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

The Beacon Grand Hotel in Union Square was a fantastic place to stay during my trip to Salesforce TDX. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the beds were—I slept incredibly well each night. The hospitality and food were top notch, and I highly recommend ordering the Espresso Martini. You also can’t beat the location—it’s just a short walk to the Moscone Center. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting San Francisco.

The photos of this hotel are just clickbait. The lobby is stunning, but that is about it. The rooms are dilapidated and falling apart. Not worth the price for such a poor quality property. Customer service was terrible.

Location was great, very central. Easy access to many places nearby including the BART. It is a gorgeous hotel. It has also very nice and clean rooms.

We recently stayed at Beacon Grand Hotel and had a really memorable experience. First, I want to highlight Jojit from the front desk — he was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring. After a very difficult day, arriving at the hotel felt like coming home. He lifted our mood right away and made sure everything with our room and stay was smooth and comfortable. His level of hospitality really stood out. The entire team was very supportive, and the service overall was excellent. The next day, we had an unexpected emergency and couldn’t return in time to pack our belongings or check out properly. We called the front desk, and the housekeeping team carefully packed absolutely everything for us — even the smallest items I was worried might be forgotten. Everything was handled with so much attention and care, and we truly appreciated that. A big thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond. The only small note: we used valet parking and requested EV charging. It seems the car wasn’t fully charged as expected, which slightly affected our plans later. Just a small suggestion to double-check charging requests in the future 😊 Overall, we are very grateful and would definitely stay again.

I truly want to express my admiration for the receptionist — an absolutely wonderful man Jojit who helped us during a very stressful situation that occurred earlier in the day. His kindness, warm smile, and genuine support meant so much to us. He was incredibly polite and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. A truly exceptional person. The hotel itself is absolutely unique, with stunning architecture and beautifully designed interiors. I would also like to give special praise to the restaurant located right in the lobby — the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It was a truly memorable experience.
