It was a great time We spent 4 days at Barceló and the resort and staff were very nice, and accommodating. I would refer my friends and family here. Jared Romero and melissa blanco made sure to give my husband a special pool birthday shot out and showed us how to salsa.

SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE
Don't be deceived with what is shown on here.. When you get here you will see its the least attractive of the hotels on that strip. When it comes to their restaurants don't have high hopes. The Italian restaurant was supposed to be their best option but the chicken and Tiramisu were dryer than the Cabo desert. The best food you'll have is the breakfast buffet and the snack bar. Definitely eat the sopes and tip the lady she is really nice. ALSO, when it come to reservations they don't tell you on here but YOU GET 1 RESERVATION PER PAIR OF NIGHTS! So, if you stay for 3 nights then you can only book 1 reservation.. Jared from the entertainment team is GREAT!! The pool staff is amazing and attentive. HOWEVER, the reception desk, especially FERNANDA, not so good.. Here is why.. The last day a cleaning lady stole $90 from my wallet and Fernenda tried everything to get away from making it right for the customer. Her final decision was that since it wasn't in the safe we are out of luck.. This happened to a family member in Cabo last year at a different hotel and they made it right for them with Hotel credit but at least it was something and showed they cared. Moral of the story is since you're already spending a good amount on an all inclusive EXPERIENCE, MAKE SURE IT'S WORTH IT AND STAY HERE.

Pool activities with music
Activities with Jared and Melissa were a lot of fun by the pool. They led dance, bingo, pool volleyball, water aerobics and more. I recommend more activities in the evening, the entertainment was great, but we need more to get the guest involved dancing and playing games. I prefer more activities like a cruise ship if possible. Just a suggestion!

Came down for a 5 Night, last-minute trip and couldn’t be happier with the Value… The Mexican and Italian Specialty Restaurants were the tops, and Santiago in the Italian Restaurant was our favorite staff member of the trip…Solid 4 Star!!!

Barcelo gran faro is a great recommend to be in cabos
Hello the food and beverage managers pablo Reyes and restaurant assistant manager of buffet Jesus Aguilar are amazing in customer friendliness to meet them they are understanding and go out of their way to make our stay amazing and forgettable experience in this hotel barcelo gran faro. 5 thumbs up to them. Anything I need or help they were there to obliged. They are respectful and caring. They made sure my stay was welcoming and relaxing without stress or worries. I love that when I wasn't feeling well they made exception and prepare or deliver food of buffet to my room or special request. And when I was sick of my throat they looked everywhere for straws and provided me with them, and if ran out they would buy some for me. If my eggs weren't right or meal they would fix and remake for me. I am happy and love to return and tell all my friends and family to visit this resort. Location is perfect location of plaza pescadores. Lots of shopping and easy 25 minute from cabo San Lucas. The activities at pool side are fun of the blackjack and bingo. I wish they had more days of it. Or they should even have an evening game activity of animation of casino night free in lobby. Be fun for everyone. Even bingo in the evening in lobby be fun and a lot more people would have time for play. Even I wish they had like a Michael jackson show or celebrity show in evening nightly shows. Be great they even have pregame activities or after show games they play with audience interaction like MR. BARCELO. Like a fun game do beer drinking contest. Balloon popping activities. Do a couples night challenge game show. Push up competition. Do Mexican chant competion with men chanting ei yi yi. And dance Mexican doing tequila shot. They have that now for the Mexican show so I hope always keep that game show. I love it and so fun. They should also Have jugs of milk container fill with water and see how long people hold their arms out without dropping their arms. Competition. Do more fun competition. Have more prizes. Keep the super papa rally weekly. Even for women. The privilege lounge is great i love that their bartenders to get my drinks with the premium alcohol. And shakes the driks or blends. I am glad not just a self serve bar. The hor d'oeuvre in the lounge could change around besides deli meat every day and bread. It be nice to chsnge it up for evening like hot hor d'oeuvre tapas . Make some hot dish snacks. Only few con they need to have more bartender tend the pool and beach especially check on guests at beach for drinks. And come to make more rounds at the pool and beach. A major con they need to fix at nightly show or even in general the lobby bar needs to have more bartender or servers making rounds at the chairs and couches at the lobby. Wish they make the hor d'oeuvre tapas change frequently than just deli meat. Have hot food items as well like hot tapas. Change it up a bit. Have lobby bar area with more servers and bartenders to come around the chairs and tables and couches and ask guests if they want drinks tend to the guests. No one comes around the lobby bar taking order. She is doesnt really take any orders whenever we at lobby bar. She favorites those of men mostly I notice and chats a lot and not pay attention to others wanting drinks at lobby. They really need to work on serving people on the couches and chair tables in the lobby bar when comes to evening shows or even before show or after show ends. She really focuses on certain people. She skips us and people at the front couches. Had en experience where I felt zoned out, I came into privilege lounge to sit on couch and she didnt notice me and she would focus looking in mirror and chat to other guests of random conversations, i wait till she finish talking but nope i am sitting there like a silly person waiting to get my drink order. If it wasnt for me to talk to manager and talk to reception of night manager i do not think she would tend to us. She is forced to tend to us when comes in premium lounge otherwise i think never she would want to serve. She likes to serve frequent more often to check with the men. She never comes to take orders at the lobby when she does rounds only those in the far back never the front of the theater area. Hard to flag her to get my order to be served. She need to be more attentive and check on others instead of chatting. They need to fix that and when lobby bar open and nightly shows have serves come around and frequently be attentive and not favouritize certain people. Favoritism shouldnt be. That lady bartender only favouritze mostly men. Not to us really. Only forced to, She also works in the privilege lounge she will forcefully have to tend to us because is her job. Her name with a y. Like Yamilet something. At the lobby she doesn't come around. Goes to one section with men take their orders. Doesn't come to the front of the theater. They barely come to never come at all. It be great if they have servers take order at the lobby bar area. And the sky lounge the man Rafael needs to be more friendly he does not like to take orders he busy on his phone or is away from the bar can't find him he downstairs in the Japanese in the kitchen. Whe. I sit at the chairs in the sky bar away from the bar and order a drink he doesn't bring the drink to me he leaves it on the bar desk and doesn't let me know it's there and he walks away. The sky bar is not even busy and he doesn't like to walk around to serve the drinks. He just leaves to who knows where. Also I asked if I could have my drink sugar rimmed, he says he doesn't have sugar. But I went downstairs to the Japanese restaurant in the tower, only 1 minute less the coffee machine and sugar all there I had to go down myself to get the sugar packages. And showed him. He didn't like that I gave him the sugar packages. Also asked for a expresso martini he said he doesn't have coffee machine but again just moments walking down the stairs is the coffee machine and it was on and working. He didn't want to walk downstairs to get for me. Saying it's closed and not have. But he doesn't mind hiding in the kitchen and leave the bar for himself. It was a bad experience visiting the bar first few times. It's not like the sky bar is busy. It feels like we are a burden to him and too hard for him. And he doesn't measure the ounces and pours too much. He says he doesn't have a shot measurer. The cleaning service is good only thing they never clean the showers. Stays dirty never gets cleaned. Wish they can clean that. It needs to get cleaned bathroom shower is dirty for all the time ive been stay the whole stay never cleaned. Beach chairs at the beach wish they had more closer to the staircase, all seats are far away. Not much shade either. Need more. But overall I love this resort and recommend others to come.It was a bad experience visiting the bar first few times. It's not like the sky bar is busy. Have more competition or casino night and bingo in the evening as well. Have more game shows. I love them, will come again knowing they are there. In food Antonio the pizza man is very good, he makes a pizza the way I like it, fresh rolled out dough. I hope they always have fresh made dough not already prepared baked doughs. I like fresh rolled out. I like buffet when more in the albatros restaurant more than Olas becuase of hot or mosquitoes. Wish more days in Albatros.
