The courtyard gardens of Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada provide a leafy respite from the colors, scents and sounds of San Miguel de Allende. Here there is tranquility befitting the cloistral surroundings – some of the intricate stonework dates from the 1400s, and individually designed rooms are reminiscent of Old Mexico. Talavera-tiled bathrooms, copper sinks and stucco walls adorned with original art create a homey ambiance, and the quarry stone fireplace is the perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine.

Sierra Nevada was the perfect location for all activities in centro. The staff was always available to manage our requests, and the special experiences available to us as guests were wonderful- especially the cocktail class.

The graciousness of service combined with the beauty of the physical properties makes Belmond hotels really stand out. This was our second stay and we really enjoyed it. Food is consistenly good.

Our overall experience was lovely! The hotel is beautiful and had so many unique touches, attention to detail is something they definitely put a lot of effort into. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar had amazing views! We enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant and were impressed at the great service. Our rooms were very comfortable and we can say enough about the amazing attention to detail by the room service staff. We arranged transportation to and from the airport via hotel transportation company and we were very pleased. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!

This is a a truly outstanding hotel within the heart of San Miguel de Allende, with an exceptional staff, charming and historic premises and delicious food. First, the staff , at every level, went out of their way to make the stay welcoming and comfortable. From bringing us welcome drinks, to packing a breakfast for an early departure, we felt taken care of. Staying at this hotel is a step back in time (though with modern amenities). The hotel shares many of the physical attributes of the historic sites, like the Casa de Allende. It's clear that the designers went to great lengths to retain the historic charm of this property. And, finally, the food was amazing. The consistently delivered one of the best breakfasts we've had at a luxury hotel. We only ate one dinner there, but it was also excellent. Yes, it's pricey, but it's a worthy splurge to make your visit to this beautiful town memorable.
