This felt like a bait and switch experience. None of the pictures matched our room, which was dismal and run down. The kitchen area was marginal with a 2 burner hot plate, a refrigerator that was barely cooling and a table that required a 1/2 inch slab to stabilize it. When I pulled the coffee pot out from its corner, there were 4 ant traps. They are pet "friendly" but there was no place except the street to walk the dog. Parking was tight and the main rooms are located across the street and up the block from the registration area and dining room. Not good for seniors to walk due to ice. We stayed but won't again.

They said they’d call me when the room was ready, but didn’t. This was just the beginning of the poor customer service and disappointing stay at this place. The rooms were tiny and dark, and needed additional housekeeping attention. There was only one fixed tv for two rooms. Bathroom, kitchenette and furnishing needed a serious upgrade. I had booked a two night stay, but left after one for another hotel, and the front desk would not refund the second night! Suggest you ask to see your room before you unload your car. And please don’t believe the website photos or you’ll be greatly disappointed!

This hotel does not list all of its costs upfront. When you get there they charge you and additional "Historical Fee". Then they make you sign the additional charge. If this is a charge they need to pass on to the consumer than that is fine, but getting this unanticipated fee at check-in is unacceptable to me. In addition, they have installed what appears to be a security lock on the entrance to the hotel room courtyard. That is good, right? Unfortunately, there are simple garden gates with absolutely no security that lead into this same area. So the security lock is just for show...like the price that I was lead to believe I was paying. Underhanded practices at this hotel. I would look elsewhere.

We loved everything about this place! Location was excellent to walk to Old Towne Santa Fe. Our rooms were very large, with a kitchenette and living area in each. These are historic buildings, and the decor reflects the history and heritage of the area. Rooms were very clean. Because these buildings are historic, there are some uneven doors, squeaky floors, small cracks in walls. This is part of the authentic ambiance. Every staff member we met was pleasant, polite, welcoming, and helpful. The owner provided homemade potato chips and marshmallows (melt in your mouth) daily! The included breakfast was made to order, as well as fresh fruit, pastries, and bagels. Highly recommend!

My room was not ready for an hour and a half after the official check-in time; there was insufficient parking provided and I had to walk my bags and gear from more than a city block away; the room was sparsely outfitted and there was insufficient lighting, so the space was dim. I had stayed in a room years ago on a different part of their (sprawling, evidently) property, and it was lovely. I was disappointed this visit.
